Bard admitting he loves you

You and Bard had been friends for many years now, you knew he would always be there for you no matter what. Like the time you had no money and couldn't afford to live at home, he had taken you in without hesitation and you've lived with him ever since helping him look after his 3 children, as his wife died just before you and Bard had met. You were like a second mother to his children and Bard loved that they loved you as much as he did. Bard had slowly fallen in love with over the years, he couldn't help it, there was just something about you that made his heart beat faster whenever he was near you.

You were cleaning up when Bard came back from getting food, so that you could make stew for all of them.

"Where are the children y/n?"

"They went out for a while don't worry they will be back in time for dinner,"

"You don't have to do all this, I am capable of cooking."

"I know you are Bard, but I have to do something around here I owe you for keeping me here all these years."

"Y/n you don't owe me anything. You do plenty for one you always look after the children and I couldn't ask for more, it's one of the reasons why I love you.

You turn around so that you are facing Bard. Did you just hear rigtht? You had loved Bard as soon as you first lay eyes on him, you never thought he would ever feel the same way about you.

"What did you just say?"

"I said y/l/n, that I love you."

"You, love me?"

"Yes." Bard chuckles.

You run over to him and kiss him. Bard is shocked at first but once he gets over the fact that you are kissing him, he starts kissing you back. Both of you were as passionate as the other, that kiss had been building up for years and now finally you both were able to show how much you loved each other. Finally running out of breath you both break apart, look at each other and start giggling.

"You have no idea how long I've been waiting to do that."

"Oh Bard I think I do."

"So since the children are going to be a while, would you like to see my room?"

"I would love to see your room." You laugh.

Bard carries you to his room and that's where you stay until you hear the children return home.
