A/N: The second half of the chapter takes place during Season 1, Episode 9. Akiba is short for Akihabara, so don't think I typed it wrong or something.
It is finally here. The weekend. Nico kept her promise of meeting up every weekend to take a break from Muse.
We were on my lawn. At night. A cold breeze was flowing through the air.
We could hear some leaves from the tree next to us slowly bristle, the crickets chirping, and the neighbor's sprinklers automatically being turned on.
Levi was resting on Nico's lap, quietly purring. Nico's hand was slowly brushing the top of his head. The occasional car passed by.
Everything was so.. peaceful. Nico and I were sitting next to each other on the grass, enjoying the scenery. I'm beginning to think.. is this going to be the only chance I have at telling Nico I like her? I don't want to ruin the mood.
I remember what Eli told me earlier.
Y/N. I'll organize something that will help.
Maybe I should just wait until then..
"Y/N, why do you look worried?"
I turned to Nico.
"Being out here with you is so quiet.. it gave me time to think about the future."
"Oh, the future?"
"What will... happen after we graduate?"
"Y/N! Don't worry about that! We still have plenty of time to be together.."
"You're right."
Nico yawned. She put her head on my right shoulder.
I looked at her face, her eyes were closed. There was the glisten of a tear rolling down her face.
I could tell that I was not the only one worried about the future.
I wiped the tear off of her cheek. Nico opened her eyes and smiled.
"Y/N.. this was so relaxing. If school wasn't tomorrow I would have been here with you all night.. but I need sleep."
"Y-Yes, Nico. Let's do this again sometime."
"Definitely."
She got up and took one final glance at our surroundings. Her apartment was pretty far away.
"Nico."
"Yes?"
"Are you cold?"
"The cold could never hurt me! But it wouldn't hurt to get a sweater.."
I stood up. Levi followed me into my house. I got a coat.
I walked outside, towards Nico. She went into a T-Pose. I put the coat on her.
She started to giggle.
"Y/N! This is a little too big."
"That's your fault for being short, huh?"
"N-No!"
She had a sad look on her face.
"Nico, it's a long way to your apartment building. Let's go together."
She brightened up.
"B-But it's dangerous to walk alone at night! Once you drop me off.. you'll have to walk back!"
"I'll just call my mom if it gets too late."
I won the argument.
