I made everyone work pretty hard. They said it was good for them, though. Nico and I walked to her home together. We were pretty silent until I spoke up.
"Nico."
"Yes?"
"Maybe your dream of being a popular idol will come true."
"Y-Yeah. I should thank you, Y/N. You really knew what was best for me."
"They probably would have done that anyway.."
"E-Even if that were the case, you were the one who brought the idea to their minds. Thank you."
"See you at school tomorrow, Nico."
"Yeah. Bye, Y/N."
I dropped her off and started walking home. My phone vibrated, and it was a call from Jason.
"Y/N, it's been a while."
"Yeah, what have you been up to?"
"I gave up on chasing Eli around ever since she joined the student council."
"That's good. Ha..."
"Why are you hanging around so much girls?"
"What do yo-"
"I saw you on the roof. Are you going for a harem Y/-"
"No. No. I already told you I want to take my last year here slowly. I just got caught up in the middle of things.."
"Having six girls join your club all of a sudden doesn't sound exactly.. slow."
"Remember in Year One how Nico wanted to be an idol?"
"Are you going to make me watch anothe-"
"No. I don't know if you've heard of them yet, but our school has idols."
"W-What? Why? Isn't this the last year the school is accepting students?"
"That's exactly why. They want to save it. Nico and I are helping them."
"Don't get too ahead of yourself. You can leave the club if you are serious about taking the year slowly. Don't put others before yourself, Y/N. I have to go now. Cya."
To be honest.. I kind of wish that my last year would just consist of Jason and Nico. Not the people in Muse. What if it was the last year we had together? But.. if Nico was lonely, it was worth inviting more people to join the club. Or was it? Don't put others before yourself. I guess I'm just being selfish. I'll try my best to get used to the new girls.
I went to bed thinking about it. If I leave the club, Nico will be upset, but will probably follow me. If I stay, I'll be upset that it isn't just Nico and I. Two people can do a lot more things together than eight. Nico finally got a group of friends, and I would be the person to take it away. Do I be selfish and leave? Or stay and let Nico be with her new friends? Don't put others before yourself.
I drifted away to sleep.
School ended quickly. Nico and I started walking to our clubroom. I couldn't keep my eyes off of her. This decision should be easy. Why do I care so much about her happiness? We walked into the classroom and saw Muse members with.. Nozomi? Why was she here?
"I'm here to interview clubs, do you want to be recorded?"
Eager to be filmed, Nico obviously said yes to Nozomi. Nico started to chant Nico Nico Nii before-
