Chapter 9

Olivia POV-

Its been a couple of days since I was introduced to Chasity's family and she asked me out to go on a date the same day, which of course I agreed too, I can't say no to her. Once again we are going to a restaurant, I'm not sure which one but knowing Chasity it's going to be a fancy one so I have to be dressed nice, I decided on a simple navy pantsuit, with short black heels, nothing too much but just enough to fit in.

As I was adding the finishing touches to my makeup there was a knock on the door, I heard my dad going to get it so I didn't feel the need to rush, after a minute or two, maybe even 5, I was done, so I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs, which is when I saw Chasity standing there with some black roses. She looked a little awkward probably because both of my parents were there, and I'm guessing they had a talk with her, when I got to the bottom of the stairs she smiled at me and handed me the roses saying "these are for you, I hope you like them." "They're beautiful, thank you," I replied kissing her cheek, which surprisingly made her blush.

My mum came and grabbed the flowers and said she'd put them in some water and we should head off so we weren't late and that's exactly what we did, little did I know she had a limo waiting outside my house waiting to take us to our destination, I know she did it for our first date but I didn't expect it again. She opened the door for me and helped me in, then getting in herself and tapped on the glass at the front letting the driver know to set off, while in the car we actually had a really nice conversation, it wasn't about anything important but it was still really nice and I enjoyed it.

When we arrived at the restaurant, which didn't take long, I recognised it, its called l'arte Dei Sapori and it's one of the most well known Italian places around here and is also really expensive, it apparently has some of the best and most traditional Italian food. Luckily when I was younger I learnt Italian, a small fact I told Chasity one day which I'm guessing she remembered, which is why we're here.

When the car stopped Chasity opened the door for me and got out first. When we were both out he set off and Chasity hooked her arm around me guiding me to the doors. As soon as we got in we were greeted by the hostess, who asked if we have a reservation. "Hi, yes reservation for Fortier," Chasity told the hostess and she replies "ah yes Miss Fortier please follow me," and lead us to the table in the corner, which was a little secluded from the rest of them.

Chasity pulled out my chair for me which I thanked her, we made some small talk until the waitress arrived, she was small maybe 5'3" and that's pushing it, she looked Latina and had long straight brown hair reaching halfway down her back, I have to admit she was beautiful, but I only noticed all of that because instead of asking what we wanted she was checking out Chasity who was smirking back at her and neither paying attention to me, I fake coughed bringing them both out of it and she asked what I wanted, "I'll have Fiori di zuccha as my appetiser, Amatriciana for my first course, Coda alla vaccinara with Puntarelle for my main and Crostata ricotta e visciole for desert please, with a glass of Prosecco," I said kindly while I had a fake smile on my face.

"And what would you like beautiful?" She asked Chasity while smirking, " I'll have Carciofo alla romana, Cacio e pepe, Abbacchio alla scottadito with Patate and Seadas, and I'll have a Prosecco as well please darling," she replied back while smirking making the waitress blush while walking off.

I just looked at her unimpressed, while she started up a conversation until our food came, which didn't take long maybe 5-10 minutes, she didn't seem to realise I was annoyed at her the entire time she was talking to me and just started to eat her food while occasionally making small talk in between. Every time the waitress came over she would start smirking and call her something that would make her blush before she left, I wasn't really having a good time tonight the waitress was annoying me, and so was Chasity.

After 2 hours we had nearly finished everything just desert was left, she had excused herself a minute ago to go to the bathroom and as she was going I saw the waitress slip something in her hand, I could tell it was her number on a piece of paper it's not like she'd give her anything else, this annoyed me even more but I wasn't going to ask her about it, I know she'd say it was nothing.

My the end of the night I wasn't very happy and slightly annoyed, she hadn't been paying me much attention a lot of the time, which she should've been because she was on a date with me. We got the limo back to the house and she told me she hoped I had a good time and kissed my cheek and I just smiled, nodded and got out and headed inside straight to my room, not even acknowledging my parents.

Carciofo alla romana is a roman artichoke pan fried in olive oil with mint.
Fiori di zuccha is pumpkin/zucchini flowers, usually stuffed with mozzarella and anchovies, dipped in batter and deep fried.
Amatriciana is guanciale in a tomato-based sauce, occasionally seasoned with a little chilli pepper.
Cacio e pepe is pasta in a tangy sauce made with pecorino cheese and and a lot of pepper.
Abbacchio alla scottadito is grilled lamb chops served seasoned with a piece of lemon with patate which are potatoes
Coda alla vaccinara is oxtail in a tomato sauce, with puntarelle which is the stems of a green arugula-like plant, dressed with oil, garlic and anchovies.
Crostata ricotta e visciole is ricotta tart topped with a generous amount of sour cherries. Seadas is a round puff pastry shell is filled with fresh cow or ewe cheese before being sealed, deep-fried and covered with sugar or honey.
