Maia pressed her lips together in a thin line, as she chewed her breakfast. Namjoon was attempting to make small talk, but she wasn't as responsive as she usually was. The doctor didn't seem all that bothered by her silence and continued to eat occasionally sparing her a glance.

"Dr. Schneider will be coming to visit us this afternoon," Namjoon informed her, finishing his plate and pushing it away from him, "I expect you to be polite and stay out of our way when asked. Do you understand Maia?"

The girl nodded, it made no difference to her whether the doctor came or not. She would've stayed out of sight regardless. She has her own business to attend to.

Namjoon arched his eyebrow, obviously not expecting such a calm response, "So you agree not cling to me this time? And to leave us alone?"

"I believe nodding implied I would do just that."

Maia didn't mean to say it with such an edge to her voice, but she couldn't help it. She just wasn't feeling herself.

"Watch your tone, girl." The man at the end of the table was clearly becoming pissed with her current state.

"Forgive me, I'm feeling unwell." Maia stated bluntly, standing abruptly from her position at the table.

"Then you should lie down before Dr. Shneider arrives," Namjoon advised, "I don't want you acting out when our guest is here."

With a huff, the girl left the dining room and stormed to her quarters. She hated whenever Dr. Schneider came to visit. It didn't matter what his intentions were, she would always come out looking like a fool.

'Bend over, Maia'

'Hold still, Maia'

'Can you say, that would be my pleasure, Maia?'

His commands haunted her and so did Namjoon's lack of empathy for her discomfort, as he always watched on in silence.

Usually, she felt anxious whenever she heard that man was coming, but for the most part, today, she felt angry. It was a very sudden anger that had captured her in the moment. Maia had never left a room with such indignation the way she had a few moments ago, for fear of angering Namjoon, but now that fear was behind her.

She felt, she felt...

Pain

There was an unexpected cramping in her lower abdomen that was so strong, Maia stumbled forward with a gasp.

"Oh!" She cried, grasping her throbing stomach. After regaining her balance, Maia's main focus was getting to her room. If she could just reach her bed, maybe she could lay down. That's when she felt something warm running down her legs. Lifting her dress, she was astonished to find a red liquid dripping from her lower parts and pooling at her feet.

"Wh-What?"

Blood

Maia knew what it was, but she had only seen it a few times before. Once, when she had fallen in the hallway while running, and a couple other times of similar experiences. Except, one,

She had woken up in blood

Maia shook the obscure memory from her head. She needed help. She knew what was happening. She was dying.

"Hannah!" Maia called out through the echoing hallway, "Someone help me, please!"

Footsteps began to patter down the hallway, as Maia continued to lean against wall for support. Never had she felt so much pain, except when-

"Maia! What's wrong?" Namjoon rounded the corner and the look of worry in his eyes was enough to make her heart flutter for a moment.

"I-I- there's blood," Maia stumbled over her words, "I don't know where from."

By the time Namjoon reached her, he looked less worried and more so intrigued.

"Interesting," Was his only comment, as he observed the bleeding girl in front of him, "This will actually help things along."

"Oh Miss Maia!" Hannah finally had made the climb up the stairs and was now helping Maia stand, "Are you okay?"

Before the hurting girl could answer, her maker answered for her.

"She's perfectly fine. What's happening is natural. You of all people should know that, Hannah." Namjoon checked his pocket watch, clearly uninterested in the drama unfolding by now.

Hannah seemed to understand what he meant and smiled soflty, "Oh Miss Maia, it seems you are a lady now."

Maia was more confused than ever, but didn't object when Hannah began to lead her away.

Namjoon watched as his creation limped away with the maid helping her. There was no doubt about it now. There was no reason to hold back anymore. Adjusting his tie, he turned on his heel, walking towards his office where he kept the notes he was going to discuss with his visitor. This news will make him most happy. After months of preparation with and without the girl knowing, with and without her consent, it was finally time.

Maia was ready to be bred.

"It's all coming together now."
