Doctor Kim Namjoon has been illegally been experimenting on six supernatural boys from the time of their birth to adulthood. Never having seen the outside world or anyone but each other, and raised like animals, they live their lives in bitterness a...
Namjoon was baffled to say the least when Maia came charging into his room in the early hours of the morning, claiming there was 'something behind her.' He tried to coax her back to her room but no matter what his approach was, she would not be moved from his side. Namjoon sighed as he leaned back in his office chair, studying the young woman that was now lightly dozing on the velvet settee across from his desk. Her soft curls fell in her face as the sound of gentle snores reverberated in the air.
In truth, Namjoon knew what the frightened girl had seen creeping through her room at night, but he had no idea how it was possible. He had always known the creature was confined by less limit than the others, but it never ceased to amaze him how the list of abnormalities grew in length. If that thing really did see Maia, it could put the whole experiment in jeopardy. It was already in motion, full swing, but if he needs to quicken its development, he would need to work fast. Leaving Maia to her slumber, Namjoon stood and approached a door in the corner of his office. He stepped through, into the musty old closet. To many, it would appear to just be a storage closet, a place for unpacked boxes to lie in wait for the impending cloud of dust to settle over the cardboard folds. Namjoon walked straight up to the wooden wall, and rested his hand on a loose wooden panel. Pressing firmly, a soft pop was heard as the secret door opened revealing a stone staircase leading down to the basement, Making sure he closed the door behind him, Namjoon made his descent with ease, the motion activated lights overhead illuminated as he passed beneath them.
A meter away from the bottom of the stairs, he was greeted with a pitch black archway. Namjoon wrapped a strong hand a lever on the side of the wall and harshly yanked in down. The industrial lights flickered on throughout the room and uncovered his happy place.

Namjoon did a quick once over of the whole laboratory as he always did just to make sure that nothing had been touched or moved while he was away. Once satisfied, Namjoon occupied himself with the task he was here to do in the first place. Taking a ring of keys from its hook in the corner, he shifted through them until he came across the sacred green one that opened the special door in his lab. Inserting the key into the said door's lock, he twisted it then pushed the door open with a load creak. It lead to a small dead-end hallway flanked by three doors on each side. After opening the door, Namjoon stood there without making any noise.
It was quiet.
Too quiet, at least for his liking. It was strange to him, especially since they like to scream all night. He knew they sensed him come in, every single move he made they heard and yet, they were the ones cowering in their cells. Namjoon practically fed off of the power it made him feel. He took a few steps down the hall, then paused a the second metal door to the right. He approached it with apprehension, then lifted the latch that covers the small observation window. Just as he suspected, there he was huddled in a heap in the middle of the room.
Namjoon pressed the small red button on the side of the door that opened up the mic.
"Subject 04," Namjoon watched as the young man's shoulders tense upon hearing his name, "Look at me, boy."
Hesitantly, the test subject lifted his head, revealing his wet eyes and running nose.
"Ahh, I suspected that you were the cause of our current foul weather." Namjoon smiled knowingly, "You seemed to have forgotten how to control yourself. Do you need me to remind you?"
The trembling man shook his head rapidly, not wanting to endure the familiar pain he had numerous times before.
"Then I want you to be wearing a straight face by the time I have finished my business down here, do I make myself clear?"
The man wiped his eyes and nose on his shirt sleeve before nodding. Namjoon was satisfied with this response and went on his way which relieved the boy very much. He was just glad that Namjoon wasn't down here for him. He felt bad for whoever the doctor intended to visit. Pushing it from his mind, he curled himself back into a ball. Something he did often to soothe himself. But this time, he made sure not to shed a tear.
