That's what "Maia" stood for and she didn't know how to exactly feel about it. Mainly because she had no idea what any of those things meant. When she was first born, she had woken on a metal table in the middle of a strange smelling room equipped with various bright lights. The first thing, rather person, she had seen, was her father, Namjoon smiling down at her.
He never told her what her name meant just what it was, but honestly, she was okay with that. Everything was so new, so strange. Namjoon had given her everything she had, a home, something called food, and most importantly, her life. She had a faint memory of being a strange floating substance dangling from the strands of the abstract universe until something yanked her from the very folds of fabrication into reality. Birth, the experience wasn't as traumatizing for her as it would be for most, it was beautiful.
Maia trembled at the sounds of murderous screaming and howling echoing from the halls. She sat up from the soft rug she had been leisurely lounging on beside the fire place.
"Don't worry Maia. It's only the beasts downstairs. You will meet them one day, it is your destiny. You're purpose." Said Namjoon who had observed his "daughter's" reaction.
Maia didn't feel any better after hearing that, but only asked him to continue the story he had insisted on reading to her. It was actually quite interesting. A man creates a monster for one sole, selfish purpose and the monster ends up becoming its master's ruination.
'Frankenstein' by Mary Shelley was its title and author. Namjoon boasted about no one in the Gothic period having more of an influence than her. He was awe-inspired by it. Maia couldn't help but agree, it was rather invigorating. The way Namjoon spoke of it, made it seem as though such a thing could be done.
But that was ridiculous.
You can't create life in such a way.
Of course....
...those conclusions were drawn without explanation for her own existence.
