"He's not serious is he?"

"He sounded serious to me," Lani responds, folding her arms. "-and who's to tell us he controls us? We are his friends you know, not servants."

"Maybe Alex does have a proper reason behind it. Let's just get this done with," said Meghan. She turns around, facing Florence. "Florence, you're not actually going to send us to kill anyone, are you?"

"Of course not. We won't even touch the Quadrants, so no one's families are getting hurt. We're just going to cast anyone in reach with a few freeze spells here and there. Nothing else." Florence explains. "No one's dying. I don't know what's going on in Alex's head but we are simply making a point across by temporarily stunning some people and that's it. Even if it's not what Alex intends."

"Keep me out of it," said Simber. It was clear he disliked the way Alex spoke to him earlier through his bothered voice. "You all arrre enough to just knock out a few people. Plan settled?" Everyone nodded, alright with the idea. They were relieved they were not actually going to start a war, but just a simple skirmish. Meanwhile, Alex was already walking to Quill, formulating his plans throughout.

His mind was set, and soon everything was going to come together. After a short fifteen minutes, he reached the entrance to the gray world of Quill and began walking down the dry pathway of Quill, through the housing quadrants, and towards the palace. There were stares as he walked through in his colorful robe of his, though it didn't bother Alex. He didn't mind the attention.

Once he arrived at the High Priest's Palace, Alex immediately sent clay shackles at the Guards, allowing himself to get through the Portcullis. Any other guards in the way dropped, being  frozen from a freeze spell. No point killing them when they were already going to die once Florence's team attacked, just as he instructed too.

Alex had now easily made his way inside, maneuvering through the hallways, and heading up the stairs, head high. He had been in the palace once before, but very well knew the way around.

Guards only took a second to hold up their sword before they were shot down by a freeze spell, or collared from a clay shackle. In only minutes of time, Alex had found the front doors to the High Priest's office.

Aaron paused. He had heard thumps through the doors, along with faint footsteps. He stared at the doors in front of him, while his body froze in worry. Someone was outside his office. It was silent other than him hearing his racing heart thump. He got up from his seat by the desk, eyes glued at the door. He checked around the room for any weapon, but before the High Priest could even make a move, it was too late.

Unexpectedly, Aaron was flung back, a dagger pierced through his shoulder and some of his shirt, dragging him backward and pinned to the wall. It was so sudden that it took a few seconds for Aaron to realize what happened, and for the pain to register.

Once the stinging began, he screamed in pain, feeling the dagger rooted through his shoulder. "Whoops." a voice said, stopping Aaron from pulling out the blade impaled deep in. He once again screamed as the stinging worsened, and blood began leaking through the gash. In frightened eyes, Aaron glanced at the Mage in front of him, his breath shuddering. They were just a couple feet away, both eyes locked. Alex...

Honestly, Aaron was astonished looking at Alex. He couldn't recognize the Mage that stood in front of him was his own brother. He couldn't believe that Alex had been the one to pierce a weapon through his shoulder. "Don't kill me please!" Aaron cried, looking into Alex's empty eyes. No response.

"C-can I take out the dagger?" Aaron stammered. The dagger had struck him fast against the wall, and he was trying his best not to continue screaming. Though, maybe if he did scream, a guard could come to rescue him. Yet Aaron didn't attempt it, finding it too risky to do. Instead, he gazed at Alex in pleading eyes. Eventually, Alex walked up to him, pulling out the dagger sharply and unpinning Aaron from the wall.
