It's been three days since the fire in Quill. With most of the Quillarity dead, and all government officials resigned due to Aaron's leadership, Quill was now chaos. There was no practical leader, and no one had any idea what to do. The Fire ended up setting everything in Quill on fire, demolishing most food and furniture. Handfuls injured and a couple dead. For Alex, It was definitely a pleasure to watch.

Many times in the span of those days, Necessaries knocked on their door begging for shelter or water which Alex had declined. Florence and Simber who guarded by the Entrance were hesitant on this, wanting to let them in for some supplies though due to Alex's strict rules, they couldn't.

This was one of the days Alex decided to check the entrance of the mansion where numerous Quillians waited outside despite how early in the morning it was.

Alex looked around at his lawn peppered by Quillians. Alex rolled his eyes and yelled. "Everyone leave! Artime isn't aiding Quill in any way!"

"Alex, We've already told them before to leave and clearly that's not working. I suggest we let anyone that wish for shelter in. They shouldn't have to pay for Aaron's mistake." Florence said. Alot of Alex's acquaintances spoke out to him, all pleading for him to allow Artime to help them. By now, it was getting tiring to hear.

"I don't want to hear it, Florence. If you want, you can go pack up and leave to Quill. I'm not changing my mind." Alex warned. "Or prove your loyalty and don't question my motives, understood?"

"Harsh much," Simber scoffed.

"I heard that."

Simber rolled his eyes, and licked his paws. "Alex, rrright now Quill is being a majorrr distrrraction. I've got news, and it's quite terrrrible."

"And?" Alex said, folding his arms. "I don't have all day."

"While I was skimming over Quill, I noticed something in the distance. They werrre ships." Simber explained. "Must be Eagala's. I believe she's after our friends."

Alex tapped his chin, and spoke: "Well that saves a step now that she's coming over." Florence opened her mouth, as if to ask what Alex meant by that, but knew better than to say anything.

"What's your plan, Head Mage?" Simber said, his voice dragging.

"Not like our opinion's matter..." Florence muttered. Alex eyed the two of them look unpleasantly at him back.

"Gah Florence! How about you go stay with your class, and work on that attitude while you're at it." Alex said exasperated.  His dislike for her has grown.  "You're not being useful right now, so it's best if you focus on training. You just work for me Florence, don't think of me as anyone else." He waves Florence off and looked at Simber. Florence lazily left the mansion.

"And Simber, you are nothing more than a mere statue to serve the current head mage." Alex warned. "It's not that hard to just comply with my orders."

There was a pause. "I wonder if Marcus made the right choice. " Simber muttered.

"I very much deserve this role now that I see it." Alex thought back to the day in the Museum of large. That time he hated Mr.Today for the pressure he put on Alex but now he thanked the old man. Mr.Today gave him the power he needed to get back at the ones that hurted him and his friends. To make him feel...in control.

Alex brought himself back to the moment. "Just cut the Chit-chat and Inform Lani and the others. When you get ahold of Florence, tell her to send a message to the blackboards."

"And Samheed?" Simber said.

Samheed. He was still locked in his room. "Right him..." Alex couldn't unlock that room now. Especially with what everything Sam knows. It would risk everything, which is something Alex did not want. Especially when Eagala was finally coming. "He can come out when he wants. It's his choice to stay there. Now, go get the message out to Florence,"
