It had been months, nearly a year now, since you had become friends with the Pogues. And it had been the best time of your life. Your favorite part though, was JJ.

It was easy to be friends with JJ. He was a people pleaser. He loved to be friends with people, but his love for the Pogues was a whole different level of love. Especially (Y/n).

God, that girl. The things he would do to her if she'd only give him the chance. Everything about her, he swore up down left and right, was perfection. The way her hips swayed when she walked ahead of the boys with Sarah and Kie. The way she tilted her head back when she laughed at something stupid he had said. Everything, had him absolutely mesmerized.

But of course, he couldn't tell her that. No Pogue-on-Pogue macking. It was movie night at John B's chateau. JJ made sure he claimed his spot next to (Y/n) on the pullout. With her on the end, it would make it easy for JJ to flirt with her discreetly.

Kie cued up the movie, one of (Y/n)'s favorites, he recalled. Babes In Toyland. Some old movie about love. About a quarter of the way through, JJ turned his body so his stomach was pressed into (y/n)'s side. "J..." She complained quietly. "Shh." He whispered. "I'm trying to watch the movie."

She smiled and rolled her eyes, but still grabbed his hand in hers nonetheless. His heart fluttered. God, this girl, he thought. After a while she turned herself as well so she was facing JJ, but still had her eyes stuck to the tv. JJ pressed a quick kiss to her forehead and then turned to watch as well.

He could feel (y/n) watching him after that, but ignored her. They went the rest of the movie exchanging small signs of affection, but never doing anything too drastic. When everyone went to sleep, JJ and (y/n) were still on the pullout.

"J... We can't. The rule." (Y/n) warned. "God, fuck the rule, (y/n)! I can't stand that stupid fucking rule anymore. I love you." JJ expressed. Your eyes were wide as you took in what he said. "I love you too, J." You smiled, tackling the boy onto the bed in a hug. "Kiss me." You insisted. And JJ happily obliged.
