It was the night of Midsummers, and I couldn't wait. Me and Sarah had been talking about it for weeks. Ever since she broke up with Topper for John B, she had seemed so much happier. I loved it.

We got dressed and then headed to the event. We were partying with John B, JJ, Kie, and evening Pope who's Dad gave him a little time off for the night. I swayed my hips to the music until I felt someone grab my wrist and turn me around. Kelce.

Now, don't get me wrong, Kelce is a major douche, but he's nice to me, so I'm not rude in response. Sure, I know he's had a crush on me for a while but it doesn't matter because I'm with Rafe. "I need to borrow you for a second." He said. I nodded and told the Pogues I'd be right back.

"You need one of us to come with you?" Pope asked sweetly. "No, I'm okay Pope. But thank you!" I smiled, hugging him quickly. I ran off with Kelce who led me to the back of the house. "What is it-" Then I saw. Rafe. Kissing another girl.

"I..." I said. "I'm sorry, (Y/n). But I thought you should know." Kelce said, grabbing my hand. I turned to him and sobbed into his chest. After a few minutes I composed myself and went to confront Rafe. Kelce right behind me.

"Rafe Cameron! What the actual fuck?" I yelled. He looked startled and snatched his face from the girls lips who immediately ran off. "(Y-y/n)! It's not what it looks like! Tell her Kelce!" Rafe said frantically. He shook his head. "You fucked up, dude." Kelce said. Rafe looked to me, desperation in his eyes. "We're done, Rafe." I sighed, walking off. "(Y/n), please! I can't function without you!" He exclaimed. "You should've thought about that before leaving me for some random blonde bimbo!" I yelled back, not turning.

When I returned to the Pogues I just started dancing again, tear stains on my cheeks. JJ and Pope held me and swayed me back and forth to the music. "You know what boys... I'm done." I said. "Kooks ain't shit."
