Chapter4: I'm sorry [Clumsy says No]

"Jake what is this?" my eyes was wide open with what's right infront of me. I coldn't believe it.

It was the park all lighted up with lights (like the one you put on christmas trees)

"Well?" he said.

"What's this about?" I asked looking around.

"Well? Remember how we met?" he walked to the slide and to the monkey bars. I nodded when he looked at me. "So... this place is really special for me." Why is iit special? Is it because he grew here, playing?

"Why?" I asked and he walked back to me and took my hand. "It's the place where I met the girl that made me against my bestfriend." He looked into my eyes, hopping he won't see how confuse I was.

"Do you know who that girl is?" he smiled to me gently.

"Who?" smiling at him.

"It's you."

"Me?" I was shocked "Why me?"

"Because when I first met you i knew there was something in you that i could not resist" He said causing me to blush.

"Car, I like you! I even possibly love you." his face was serious. My heart started drumming and I couldn't stop it. What will I say? What? I am being hit by a rock in the head making me stupid. What the hell am I saying? This is just a dream! Why would a hot older, sexy guy like/love me. (Jake's 18)

He kneeled down unfront of me looking into my eyes and said "Carmen?" he swallowed and continued "Will you be my girlfriend?" This is so cheesy!!!!  But I like it.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him up and looked into his piercing green eyes and opened my mouth. But my phone started ringing and I gestured my pointer to Jake to tell him to wait. I was thinking not to answer but I remembered that I left John to Michael.

"Hello?" I answered.

"John's vommiting!" He yelled. Stupid! I can hear!

"What?" I heard it but I wasn't ready for what he just said.

"Vommiting!" He said again with a annoyed tone. I should be the one annoyed here. "Car! I need you!" he said. When did he ever called me that? "Ok." i said "I'll be there in 10-15 minutes." I shut my phone and shoved it back in my pocket and I turned around to face Jake.

"I guess I have to go now." he looked sad giving me guilt written all over me.

"Car? Will you?" he said looking straight on the ground. I almost forgot about what he did, but I wasn't ready for that kind of commitment. I know I've done a lot of thing with him but it doesn't mean that he owns me. Ok that sounds bad but that's how I roll.

"Jake, will you wait for my answer?" I said gently looking at his face that was still facing the ground, he raised his head up and said "I want to know it noe. Rather wait and get rejected and never get the chance to prove you how I feel." and more guilt came hitting me.

"Jake..." I can't commit, not now.

"Yes or no?" This time I was looking down, I wanted to cry because of pressure. "No." I finally said. I looked at him, but his face was calm, how could he? His heart was just torn apart and mine too and all he does is be calm not that I don't want him to be. "Then all I have to do is prove it to you even more."

"I'm so sorry Jake."

"Don't be. I can always wait for you. I won't give up." I cried and hugged him.

He gave me a ride back to the Syke's. When we puuled down. He opened my door and I stepped out. "I'll walk you to the door." I nodded.

When we reached the steps the front door swung open revealig a pissed off Perfect.

"Why are you here?" Michael yelled not to me but to Jake. Are they in a fight?

"Walke her." he answered.

"Get the hell away from here." he yelled.

"Well that's not how to treat your bestfriend." Jake said smirking. I looked at Michael who was clenching his jaw and glaring at Jake.

"Bye." Jake said to Michael and looked at me "O'll call you. ok?" I nodded he gave me a kiss on my cheeks and he left. I waved good bye and Jake's car, Michael pulled me in the house.

"Carmen!" he yelled at my face and pushed me to the door.
