It Will Soon Be Over.

The rainy days are over. The sky started to bring back its blue color, the clouds passing by to maybe rain on another part of the forest far from ThunderClan. The grassy ground was still damp though, a strong scent of the earth filled the camp, Thrushkit seemed fond of the smell though.

After what the sandy brown kit had seen almost a moon or so ago, he can't look at his father the same again. At first he thought that Windflight was just busy or that he just did not want to be teased for being soft, but seeing how he treated the she-cat the exact way his mother told him he treated her, was a serious thing to discuss.

Now, Rainfur was with Cloudberry in the medicine cat den talking about something. All the kits were in a circle within the nursery, hoping to get privacy.

"Let me get this straight," Specklekit made the others shut up, wanting a clarification "You saw Windflight give her a squirrel, a piece of prey that was not given to us. And he acted like the cat he used to be with Rainfur?"

"Yeah, sorry for not telling you guys earlier," Thrushkit meowed "Me and Tawnykit wanted to make sure I wasn't imagining."

When Goosefeather warned him not to tell anyone, he kept his promise. He said not to tell the warriors and my mother, he did not say I can't tell kits though..

Dapplekit was looking at them in disbelief "What if you were, don't you see? The way mother told us about father was in the sweetest way, he seemed to never hurt her, and now you're telling us that you saw him with a she-cat, her name is Poppydawn by the way, and were sharing a squirrel? They would be breaking the code!"

Whitekit sided with her "I'm on Dapplekit's side. You don't have enough evidence to prove him guilty, I'm sorry but..I just don't believe you."

It was understandable that they were in doubt, even he was too at first..but when he saw Poppydawn looking better and stronger the day after that happened, it means that she ate.

"Well, me and Specklekit will spy on..Windflight," Tawnykit mewed, not waiting for Specklekit to agree "Thrushkit will watch Poppydawn."

"That's the plan."

Tawnykit and Specklekit left first, acting like they will be hiding. Thrushkit waited for them to go far, and he'd casually blend in too. He looked at the bummed tortoiseshell and a supportive white she cat.

Dapplekit sighed "I won't tell anyone about what you told us, I'll give you guys till sundown to find more clues and evidence. I'm here for backup."

"Same here," Whitekit smiled.

Thankful that he didn't have to give her a begging talk on keeping her mouth shut, he padded out of the nursery, making sure he finds Poppydawn.

Their 'Secret' Mission Took a While.

They were already playing with some sticks and damp old moss ball they found in the clearing, Dapplekit and Whitekit were doing something else, but from time to time they would look at the three.

"What did you find out?" Specklekit pushed the ball in Thrushkit's direction.

He sighed "Pineheart said that every warrior is out, trying to get any prey who's out looking for food too."
