Its Have Been a Few Sunrises Since that Day.
But to the sandy brown tom it just felt like it was yesterday, just like his ceremony.
Thrushpaw was sunning himself on sunningrocks by the river while he let his past memories keep him entertained. Just a while ago he, Tawnypaw, Whitepaw, Dapplepaw & Specklepaw were made into apprentices. Moonflower was one of the finest mentors he could ever have. Tawnypaw had Stormtail, Whitepaw has Smallear & Specklepaw has Robinwing. But who has the most memorable mentor out of all of theirs was Dapplepaw's. Poppydawn was the one mentoring the tortoiseshell she-cat, much to the other littermates' dismay, only Whitepaw was the one who didn't seem affected by it since she still doesen't believe them.
Specklepaw however believed them, especially since she had peeked her head out the nursery that day and also saw the moss bed 'incident.' It was a shame the other two did not.
Whitepaw was also laying beside him, but she was staring at the river as figures of silver and gray fish swim around, the sight of them look like they're unlimited.
"Do you wonder Thrushpaw why RiverClan are always fat and strong even in leafbare?" the white she-cat asked from beside, forgetting the fact that he was trying to be quiet.
He sighed, seeing that his old littermate will be talkative so why even bother trying to sleep "Maybe because they keep eating?"
"That's the funny thing about RiverClan." Whitepaw leaped off the rocks to be on the riverbank "They only eat fish while we have a lot of choices of food. But their supply is so many, that the fish look like there are a hundred!" she splashed a paw in the water, startling the fish to go to one side, making them crowded, but confirming that they are many.
"What are you doing?!" a loud voice boomed, startling the two.
From the other side of the river, a large gray tom with a thick pelt stood along with a dappled gray tom. They had large paws, meaning that the apprentices must be aware of how deadly their strength in clawing hard is. Their tails looked strong as well, flicking side to side so swift and so hard that they created a continous small cloud of dust.
The gray one spoke again "What..are..you..doing..to the fish?"
Thrushpaw leaped down from the rock, approaching his littermate whose eyes were widened in fear. The sounds of pawsteps came from behind, several.
"I apologize for the actions of whatver my clanmates have done Hailstar, I'm pretty sure they didn't mean it." Tawnypaw apologized.
"She didn't mean it, she's just always..curious." Specklepaw defended her sister.
Great job Whitepaw, out of all the cats who we can meet..it had to be RiverClan's leader.
Whitepaw bowed her head "I'm very sorry..I was just curious about the fish and wanted to see what they'd do when I put my paw in."
Hailstar stared at her intensely, but then nodded "That's okay I guess, considering now the fish swarmed into our part of the territory."
He watched the dappled gray tom beside him sit on two hind legs while his two front paws were raised in the air for a moment. Then, as quick as a flash of lightning, his claws unsheathed and dipped into the water then back out, but this time with a big silver fish. It wriggled on the ground hoping to get back into the water, but the warrior gave it ghe killing bite. The apprentices were amazed at the skill.
Hailstar then crouched low, bunching up his muscles together. Several fishes swam in his direction, a small one was even just in the lower front of him! But he did not noticed that.
