It is during every middle term break that high school students get to experience their annual High School Honours aimed at complimenting their works. This program is always lit. Students from almost all the schools in the region and beyond are nominated for awards and the biggest of all King and Queen of High School, which is the most eyed and respected honour of the night.
The night scheduled for the biggest high school event had come. Students across different schools were present. Some celebrities and invited dignitaries came in as guests of honour to grace the merry-making. Kevin now single after dumping Ann, Lois and Cheryl after the incident in school arrived with Joel who is now only with Baaba. Other nominated students had arrived too with others already seated. Soon the awards was kick start with OB, Justine and Nekx DJ being the hosts of the night. Some student musicians performed, recitals from several poets and others.
Now honours began with various students receiving their award plaques. Kevin winning the male vocalist of the year, most fashionable and famous student of year. Joel received the best basketball player, overall best sportsman and producer of the year. Gateway High School's Jalony won female personality of the year, Josh, Jalony's boyfriend also from Gateway won the Vogue teen of the year and best male model of the runway. Johnny and Steve of East Point were awarded the best athlete and best poet/writer of the year respectively. Davida won best female model and best of the runway, Cheryl of East point also winning best female vocalist. From Oak High School, Abdul-Wahid (DalewonTheHardGuy) won artiste of the year with his banger "Whose Ex" winning song of the year. Sharon from Bright Lights winning best sportswoman, to mention a few.
Second phase of the honours, King and Queen of High School began with ten students selected to compete for the crown: both male and female. These selected persons were made to pick and act, sing, dance and do one or two recitals which at its climax Kevin and Jalony turned out to carry the night. The King and Queen respectively. They sat on their golden stools set on stage for them and were hailed by everyone especially their school folks. Kevin's name was that on the lips of the ladies since he's already every lady's date wish. A voice from the crowd, " You look good together. Perfect Couple" made them smile at each other and that was the first eye contact.
High School Honours never ended without jams.
