Two Identities

Chapter Three

"Hey Lloyd!" Kai smiled, stepping to the side so Lloyd and his mother could walk in. "Mom! Dad! They're here!"

A second later a woman came to the door, she had black hair like Nya that was past her shoulders. "Koko! It's so good to see you."

"It's been a while, hasn't it, Maya?"

As a man with brown hair who Koko addressed as Ray began to talk to her, Maya turned her attention to Lloyd.

"Oh Lloyd, you don't know how long it's been since I've seen you!" Maya smiled.

Lloyd awkwardly smiled back, he had no clue who Maya was. Although he guessed he could trust her.

"I should go, it wouldn't be good if I'm late." Koko bent down and gave Lloyd another hug. "I love you sweetie."

Lloyd hugged his mother back. "I love you too mom."

Once Koko had left Kai led Lloyd to his room. His room was nice, a bit bigger than Lloyd's and it had red walls. His bedspread was red and had a black design on it, it reminded Lloyd of a fire.

"So, what do you want to do?" Kai asked.

"Well, I have some homework to do." Lloyd pulled out his homework from his bag. He had history, math, and science.

"Boring." Kai sat down on his bed. "You can use my desk." He pointed to a desk beside the bed.

"Thanks!" Lloyd sat down at the desk and pulled out his homework.

About half an hour later Kai, who was laying down on the bed, poked Lloyd on the back with his foot.

"Yeah Kai?"

"I'm bored."

"You could hang out with Nya."

"Nya's out with Skylor. Apparently she wanted to talk."

"Guess you'll stay bored then." Lloyd said, putting his now complete history homework away.

An hour passed, Kai scrolled through Chirp on his phone. He looked up to see Lloyd still doing homework, he looked focused as he worked. Kai sat up on the end of the bed behind him and twirled the tuft of hair at his neck around one finger.

"Kai?" Lloyd asked.

"Yeah?"

"What are you doing?"

Kai didn't answer, he just kept playing with Lloyd's hair. Kai thought it was really soft.

Lloyd felt pink rise in his face but he quickly went back to focusing on his homework. He just had one problem left in math then he'd do his science report.

As Lloyd worked Nya poked her head inside Kai's room. A smirk quickly grew on her face when she saw her brother playing with Lloyd's hair.

Nya knocked onto the open door once, causing Kai to jump up and pull his hands back from Lloyd's hair. Nya stopped herself from laughing at his reaction.

"Hey Nya." Lloyd said, not looking up from his work. He had just put away his math and was writing a report for science.

"H-hey sis," Kai said, narrowing his eyes on his sister. Nya couldn't stop a laugh when he did that.

"Bored?" Nya asked, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed.

"Very." Kai said, continuing to mess with Lloyd's hair.

Nya shot a picture of them before turning and hurrying out of the room.

Kai turned his head when he heard his sister run off but she was already gone. He shrugged and continued to play with Lloyd's hair.
