February 10th Friday afternoon 2007 Spencer is 6 months pregnant they went to Vegas to tell his mother they are dating and having a baby, she wasn't having the best day when they first disclosed this information but nevertheless she loved the fact that she would be having a grandchild soon. Derek was gifted with a gold chain, boxers, 2 pairs of limited edition sneakers and some extra brownie points. Spencer was gifted a pair of diamond earrings and a matching necklace along with some lingerie plus a pair of heels. Spencer has fully moved in with Derek now they are home planning a gender reveal.
Derek's POV
"balloons or confetti? I asked opening a beer sitting on the couch next to Spencer
"balloons" he answered and nodded agreeing with his decision
"cookies or cake" he asked
"both" I took a sip
"I like the way you think" he smiled and kissed me
we continued to plan before i got a call from JJ
"hello?" I answered
"you guys need to come in its an emergency case" she spoke
"its Friday" I sighed disappointed
"I know, I wish psychopaths had more respect for our weekends" she sighed also
"we'll be there" I hung up
I looked over at him he looked tired beyond compare, I hate having this happen, the last time he got a full 8 hours were before Christmas
"case?" He asked
"yeah" I stood and poured the remainder of my beer down the sink. he went and got dressed I followed behind putting on jeans and a black dress shirt. we grabbed our go bags and got in the car when we arrived and got out of the elevator Garcia was walking down the hallway to the briefing.
"look at my boy wonder and chocolate thunder" she said as we followed her to the room
"we are the first ones here?" I asked sitting down setting my bag on the floor next to me.
"Yes, Hotch and Emily are on their way" JJ said walking in with the remote and case files
"you look beat" she spoke to Spencer
"I was half asleep when you called" he sat back in the chair and closed his eyes.
"sorry Hotch said gather the team now" she sat down
as we waited for everyone else he kicked his feet up on my lap I took off his converse revealing the mix-matched yellow and red socks i rubbed his feet trying to relieve him of any pain, I rolled my knuckles on his ankle. he laid his hands on his inflated belly every so often i would see the slightest bit of movement from the baby.
"Sorry I'm late living by a club has its downsides" Emily walked in
"no problem we are just waiting for Hotch" I didn't stop my hands
"Asleep?" she asked in regards to the pregnant Agent
"I wish" he didn't open his eyes he just rubbed his stomach
"this couldn't wait until the morning" he yawned asking Hotch as he walked in
"No it couldn't" he sat down as I put Spencer's shoes back on tying them before he sat back up.
