SO BORED!
Renshu was ready to tear out his hair and gnaw on his stubby wooden fingers. Many moons have passed, night into day have come and gone so many times Renshu had long lost count. All he knew was that little boy slowly shot up like a weed, growing taller by the minute it seemed. And all Renshu could do was stand there and stare.
Like a freaky stalker, he watched in a daze as the boy did his chores and work, casting him that timid smile and chatting about whatever he read in those books he loved so much.
That blue hair grew longer until Eli had to use the frayed twine to tie it so it laid neatly on his shoulder. His original clothes were eventually exchanged for a tunic when the seams threatened to burst on his old clothes. The store owner grumbled about it the whole time.
A lot of time had passed and the only reason Renshu didn't lose his mind was that his mentality had been refined by Idan. Before all he had were blank walls and a madman for company but now he could at least watch the store's daily life.
[ERROR]
Renshu sighed in his mind as he heard Rein Nett sob softly.
"It will be fine."
[...Do you think the Creator has forgotten me?] Rein Nett asked pitifully.
"I'm sure he-she-it misses you too. Don't worry, we will complete this world or you can shred my soul trying."
[Really?]
"No! You imbecile!" Renshu sneered. "Don't even think of ejecting us yet! I'm not risking dying because you are homesick. Give it more time."
[But Host!] Rein Nett cried pitifully. [The virus-]
"Casimir, who are you talking to?" Eli asked, his voice solemn with a strange underlying current.
Renshu squinted at the boy, the most expression he could make. "No one! Why do you keep asking! Go back to your book."
Eli narrowed his eyes, his body still.
"Eli," Renshu growled.
Eli blinked, the cold aura falling away. "Eh?" He glanced down at his book before brightening.
"Oh, the book! So, this one is about-"
Renshu immediately zoned out, instead focusing on Rein Nett. "See? I can handle it."
Eli started acting weird a couple of days after Renshu woke up. Every so often his persona would turn strangely calm and a bloody aura would surround him.
The only good thing was it wasn't hard to snap him out of it. Rein Nett thought the virus could be interfering with Eli's personality. He wanted to eject them right then and there since Renshu was trapped with him but luckily Renshu was able to talk him out of it.
After all, nothing bad had happened.
The store door opened and Renshu glanced over. A child full of dirt and grime walked in, leaving footprint with each step. Eli glanced up from his book before immediately dropping his gaze towards the costumer.
The child scratched at his head, flakes falling off before placing a bag of coin onto the glass counter, leaving a grimy streak as he withdrew his hand.
"The usual?" Eli asked brightly, already shuffling back towards the left. The chains jiggled and Eli winced and rubbed his leg, a trickle of blood coming down.
