It had been two weeks, and I still wasn't bothered by River or his group. Alyssa told me she was happy I finally knew the truth. I ignored her, and focused on my classes. Once I was done for the day, I went home. I got a message from River.

River: Meet me tonight at Marty's Diner.

Me: I can't. I'm busy.

River: With what? I know you don't work tonight. Alyssa said you're distancing yourself from everyone. Meet me there.

Me: You're a dick.

River: I know (:

I put on my black pants, and a grey hoodie. I pulled my hair into a messy bun and slipped on my black vans. I tried to reassure myself that everything was okay, and that I wasn't making a mistake.

"Lauren! I'm glad you came!" River's voice was loud. I suddenly wanted to run out the door. I realized it was just River at the table. This should make our conversation a little easier. I slowly made my way towards him and slid into the booth seat across from him.

"What do you want River? Make this quick, and clean." River shuddered.

"I need an answer, and reliability that way we know you won't take this to the cops." River then recorded a video of me saying that I was the ringleader, and made everyone work for me or I'd kill their families. Of course, this was recorded in the gender neutral bathroom of the diner.

"Well then, I'm leaving River." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the booth next to him. I could smell his cologne, and suddenly didn't want to leave.

"Are working with us, or not? The money is great." I sighed. I didn't want to get any deeper into this than was necessary, but how much deeper could it run? They already had my colateral. What should stop me? Extra money would be great.

"Fine. I'm in. I'll start tomorrow in the morning." There were no classes because it was a Saturday. River nodded his head.

"Do you want any food? I can order more." I slid out of the booth.

"I said I was leaving. I don't want food. I also don't want to be involved in any more of your lies. I'll see you tomorrow, River." I then walked away quick enough so River couldn't stop me again. I made a decision I never thought I would've. I was going to make cocaine. My phone kept vibrating in my pocket. I took it out and saw it was Chance. I answered.

"Lauren, how are you?" I rolled my eyes.

"Why are you calling me? Don't sweet talk, don't act like you care about me." He sighed.

"I want yo-" I was shoved against a wall and dropped my phone. What the hell just happened to me? I put my hand up to my nose and felt blood leaking from it. I turned around. There was a tall dark figure standing in front of me. I was shoved into an alleyway, where it was dark.

"Long time, no see, Lauren." Chills sent down my spine. I would know that voice from anywhere.

"Hunter.." How was he here? I couldn't understand how he found me. As soon as his name left my lips, he deeply chuckled.

"I missed you." He then breathed in my scent with his nose touching my neck. I shivered and began breathing heavily. He put a finger over my lips and shushed me. He then drew his hand back and struck me in the ribs with a punch. I fell against the wall, gasping for air. He then shoved me and threw me down on the ground. His foot came into contact with my face once, and my stomach twice. He picked me up and threw me down on my back. I couldn't move, the stars barely visible. My vision was the blurriest I'd ever known it to be. I kept trying to move, but had no strength. I could feel Hunter working at the buttons of my pants. I tried screaming, and was met with a sharp stinging slap. I felt my legs become bare, the cold night breeze grazing my skin. I then heard Hunter fiddling with his belt. I was expecting my underwear to be torn off. I heard a loud thump and a grunt. I lost all consciousness.
