Chapter 22

Drunk

It's been two months since Leo and Mich hanging out together secretly. They made it without telling anybody. It was hard for Leo to keep it hidden from Mich's brother because they were closely related to each other and if one thing spill out in the open, their secret will also come out and they don't know if that would hurt them or not. They're still trying to look for the possible reason of what will happen if people closer to them find out about them. Leo has been trying to resist himself by telling anyone about it because there could be a risk on the side of Mich. He doesn't want to be selfish just because the terms that have been placed on them don't rule out but they have to go through with it if they wanted to make it work.

"So, hey 'cuz, winter break will be happening soon so we'll meet again back home. I'm excited to hang out around with you on holiday! Oh, how was skating in the Rockwell Center? I'm so jealous to see you guys there!" Rachel gushed over the video call.

"It was so much fun, cuz. I'm not really good at it and my friend, Staffan—I've already talked with you about him, right? He teaches me to skate but I fall several times and my butt hurts every time I fall. Carter knows how to skate and he told he just know how to balance himself." Leo shrugged off.

"Yeah, their family usually visits the place together when they were little so I guess Carter gets used to it." Rachel said. "And oh! One more thing!" she exclaimed. "I think I saw Michel were with you guys at that moment? What was he doing there?"

Leo panicked, but he already prepared to answer this kind of question in case people would bother questioning him. "He was just visiting Carter and I think he delivered some stuff for his brother. I don't know what it was but Michel joined us at that moment. Though he just watches us play around, there's nothing eventful. We're just having fun and all." He ended his sentence with a smile hoping that Rachel will stop throwing questions at him.

A moment later, Staffan joined him in his table. He sat across him. They are in the discussion room in the library and Rachel called so he immediately goes to the area where he can speak by not interrupting anybody. Staffan let Leo talked alone, grab his laptop, and work on some of his paper works.

"What are you doing now?" Rachel asked.

"Oh, nothing. I'm not that busy but I'm at the library, just trying to find some good reads."

"You're not hanging out with Carter? Did he brought you to clubs already?"

Leo chuckles, "Yeah, he took me once but he was with his friends so I think I'm out of place but it's fun."

"You plainly called it boring," Rachel laughed. "Don't worry, when we're back home. We'll hang out as much as we can. You have what... two months left?"

"Yeah, I'll be gone by February next year so I'm trying to enjoy everything now."

And then Staffan heard what he said and put his attention to what Leo said.

"That's sad but I'll be seeing you back home, alright? See you soon 'cuz!" Rachel sends Leo a kiss.

"See you soon, Rachel." Leo smiled and then they hang up the video call.

Leo put down and his phone and find out next that Staffan is staring at him for so long. He raised his brow when he thought that it was weird of him to look at him that way.

"What?" Leo asked.

"You didn't mention about leaving by February? And you're only here for the first term?" Staffan's face was full of pity. "And I'm only hearing you just now? What?!" his voice shrieked, good thing no one was around the discussion room but them.
