Epilogue: Dear My Friend

What would you do if you see your man cries in front of you?

 And what if that man is Min Yoongi?

[Jihye's POV]

Min Yoongi has always been headstrong in his emotion and never reveal his emotional side most of the time. Five years we had been together. Yoongi has only cried once in front of me. 

The time we visited Kobe after his panic attack incident.

Today. Is the second time.

I reached home and opens the door.

Yoongi is sitting on the floor, right in front of the hallway. His head looking down the entire time. Showing no response to my entrance back home.

"Oppa, why are you sitting there by yourself?" I walked to him and bend my knees down to check on him and notice him with streaming tears.

"Oppa, what happened?" I put down all my belongings. I use my fingers to wipe off his tears.

I'm glad that he did not shy away. He reached out his hand to for a hug and buried his head on the side of my neck. I comforted him with gentle strokes at his back, and quietly accompanied him.

"jagi-ya (darling), I saw him today. Minsoo." He said slowly.

I understood in an instant. Minsoo is the former childhood friend written in his mixtape; Dear My Friend.

"Where? Did he see you?" 

"No, I'm in the car. He is sitting in front of the restaurant." he continues.

"You felt sorry for him? Miss your past? Or blame yourself for the past?"

"It seems, both." He thought for a while and wanted to answer.

"I'm sure there are some words that you understands even without me saying it. And even if I had said it, you will still be sad about it."

"Min Yoongi. You're just the most gentle creature on earth." I smiles and rub his head with mine.

"Don't blame it onto yourself. Everyone is responsible for their own decision. What we can do is only to give a helping hand and advice. And you had done it all, isn't it?"

"Perhaps I'm really getting old. Looking at him reminds me of the past. If life were to restart, will they be any change?" Yoongi looks at me with his red eyes.

"Even if life were to restart. Min Yoongi will still be an extraordinary music producer. And perhaps, he may still never be able to withdraw himself from his addiction." I caresses his cheeks as I speaks.

"This is a fact. This is life. The right steps is never easy to take. The easy path is always a down-slope."

I reach out and hold his hand.

"Oppa, do you know the reason why I like you so much?"

"You have so many qualities. But what attracts me the most is despite you behave in such a calm and intellectual self, you are the most sentimental person too." 

"You got angry and hateful for minsoo-ssi's action. At the same time, you miss him and really wants to change the history." 

"You are such a gentle and kind person to everyone. I love you for that. And I want to be that gently and kind person to you too." 

Yoongi didn't speak for a long time. He raised his head and look at the girl in front of him. Her pair of gentle and affectionate eyes.

"I'm not as good as you said, silly girl." 

"You are far better than words can express." I smiled and pinch his cheeks. 

"Saranghanda, Min Yoongi" Jihye lowered down her head and drop a kiss on his puffy eyes. 

Min Yoongi tighten his hug.

" Come on, let's stand up. I'll make you your favourite kimchi stew."

The air was scorching hot, filling up the room with the vaporized steam from the kimchi stew. Yoongi pick up a slice of meat with his chopstick and put it into Jihye's bowl.

He notices that she is watching him and smiling at him the whole time.

"Why are you looking at me?" He asked with a smile.

"See, your eyes are smaller now." Jihye smiled and pointed to his eyes. "All swollen." 

"Aishh... don't mention it anymore." 

"Haaa, Min Yoongi-ssi. Are you shy now?!" 

"Aigooo, why is my darling so cute?" 

"By the way, why didn't you respond when I said I love you just now :(" 

"Because I say this to you in my heart, every minute." 

"Saranghanda"
