Chapter Seven "The Encounter"

Upon our arrival at the palace; we exited the car the maids and other servants were all waiting at the entrance. They quickly took our suitcase and went on into the palace. Everyone else was heading into the palace, but I was just standing there and looking at how majestic the palace is at the night.

"Are you going to stand outside all night? it's more beautiful inside you know?" Jai said snapping me out of my thoughts and my gazing.

"Hello, Jai what are you doing here?" I asked.

"What kind of stupid question is that Navin I work here?"

I chuckled.

We stood there and took in the fresh air the night had to offer.

"Can I ask a question?" Jai asked.

" You already did," I said smiling.

He chuckled.

"Sure go ahead," I said

"Since the first time, I saw you. You're always in your thoughts as though you're missing someone or something and it makes you absent-minded. Is there something that is bothering or hurting you? If so just know I'm here for you okay? I know we only know each for a very short time but something about you that I adored and I can't put my fingers on it as yet." Jai said making me turn to face him.

"Thanks, Jai I appreciate that I honestly do," I said with great sincerity.

"Can I ask you a favor, Jai? I asked.

"sure feel free to ask anything if I can I will do my best, your grace". He said with a slight bow.

"um I would like for you to be my guard would you like to be?"

"I'm sorry Navin I am afraid I cannot make that decision," Jai said looking sad.

" who's decision is that to be made from?" I asked curiously.

"The head of Security or His Majesty himself".

" Then  I will ask the head of Security," I said confidently.

"I don't know if that's a good idea; he is an ignorant man and only takes order from royal blood." Jai cautioned me.

"Better try my luck and see then."

I decided that I will check out my room and other things to get comfortable for a good night's rest. Jai escorted me into the palace and the moment my two personal guards came to show me to my room; he left. I was a little disappointed that he had to. I enjoy his company and his cool vibes. He makes me want to be myself; which is fun.

The guards led me up the stairs and took a few corners and then there stood a huge door. It was well design and majestic. The guards then turned towards me and bow.

"Young lord this is your room," Nathan said.

"Thank you and how far away is my best friend's room?" I asked.

"It is just around the corner turn two right; the second door on your left," Chris said.

Yeah like I would remember all of that. My subconscious told me

"Thank you" I simply said with a slight smile.

I then turned to the door and turn the knob and was shocked when I saw what was behind the door. The room was filled with blue and green everywhere. I swear I was about to cry they were my favorite colors. It had; blue walls and green curtains and a huge king-size bed that could probably accommodate 10 people to sleep in it.  I was lost in the room that I didn't realize that the guards were still there until they spoke.
