"You would have made the most beautiful damn brid-" The phone is ripped out of my hand and crushed as I feel the dagger being pushed inside my heart.
Only I don't go to sleep as I expect...
"Are you sure these new daggers will work?" I hear Finn ask, who is he talking to?
"Of course, each of your siblings will know your torment, I promise." Mother, I know her voice... these are different daggers, ones that don't put you completely under... that means I'll hear everything, feel everything, every pang of hunger, every cramped muscle as I atrophy, fuck.
I try to calm my mind and think of Lavender, I can see her... smell her, I can almost feel her warmth next to me.

I was so nervous about committing my life to hers, it's terrifying being that dependant on another person for your happiness, especially when that person is frail and human. But now, now I yearn for each bout of panic as long as in between she's still the person who's next to me.

Flashback-
"Elijah!" I hear Lavender call my name in a panicked tone from the bathroom,
I can't describe the fear I currently am feeling, I race into the bathroom and pull her out of the shower,
"What is it, what's wrong?"
She looks confused and alarmed,
"I, I don't know, somethings happening, it feels like something is bursting inside me... is that something that happens, is something wrong with the baby?" She asks me starting to get short of breath,
"It's alright just breathe, give me a second to listen, I'm sure everything is fine," She shakily nods her head as I kneel in front of her all my concentration on the life inside her.
