You sat in class, staring at the clock. Usually, you didn't really mind class too much but now you just thought it was a waste of time. A little over a month ago you'd gotten diagnosed with Hanahaki disease; the disease where a victim of one sided love coughs up flower pedals, it can only be cured if the victims love interest exchanges their love, otherwise the victim dies. Of course by now will new technology and with quirks, there could be a surgery to stop the pedals from coming out. You've been to recovery girl and the hospital plenty of times and begged to get the surgery but because of your quirk being to dangerous, it wasn't possible.

The worst part about all of it was that you had fallen for your best friend; Denki Kaminari. You're still not sure why you fell for him, but you did. The worst part was that you'd never felt so strongly about anyone before, so confessing wasn't easy. The only people who knew about this was the Bakusquad (not including Denki) because they were all your closest friends. They'd hyped you up to go confess to him plenty of times, but they all failed. If you didn't confess soon, you'd be gone in a month and that worried all of them, even Bakugou. 

Your phone buzzed and you quietly looked down at it, making sure Mr. Aizawa couldn't see it. There was a text from Mina. 'C'mon (Y/N) you need to tell him soon. I'm really worried about you!' You looked across the classroom at her, she was looking at you, smiling. You gave her a sad smile as you looked back down and began to type your reply. 'Fine, I'll tell him at lunch. And I mean it this time, I'll really tell him.' You texted back and watched as she looked down at her phone and looked back up at you, clearly exited. She tapped Sero, who was sitting in front of her on the shoulder, and showed him the text. He looked over at you and grinned, giving you a thumbs up. Denki, who was sitting in front of you let out a sneeze, startling out. "b-bless you." You mumbled. The blonde boy turned around and thanked you with a smile, making you blush.

Finally when lunch rolled around you went over to your usual table with the Bakusquad and noticed that everyone was there except for you and Denki. "(Y/N)! There you are!" Kirishima exclaimed as you sat down between Mina and Sero. "We thought that you'd already told him since you two weren't here yet." Mina said, putting a hand on your shoulder. "heh, not yet. I'm still pretty nervous..." You said, scratching the back of your head. "So, you're really going to tell him today and not chicken out?" Bakugou said from across the table, cocking a brow as he leaned his head on one of his hands. You just smiled and nodded. Everyone was looking around the lunch room, waiting for Denki to arrive. "Ugh, where is he?!" Mina said, clearly flustered. She honestly seemed more exited about this than you. "Oh! There he is!" Kiri said, pointing to the other side of the lunch room while waving over at Denki. He immediately spotted your table and started walking over there. "You ready?" Mina asked, smiling her bright smile at you. You nodded confidently, your heart pounding out of your chest. Denki came over to the table and took a seat across from you, next to Kirishima. He seemed happier than usual, making you blush at his wide smile. "Oh, whats got you so happy?~" Mina joked, elbowing you. 

"Guess what just happened guys!" He exclaimed, his smile getting wider. "What is it dude?" Kirishima asked, putting an arm on his shoulder and glancing over at you with his toothy smile. "I just asked out Jiro and she said yes! We're dating now!" He said, clearly overjoyed. Everyone got quiet and eyes started darting over at you. You starred at him, your smile slightly fading. Your hands began to shake and your heart dropped. The rest of the table tried their best to smile and congratulate him, since they didn't want to give you away, but they were all giving you worried looks. You wiped the tears that begun to swell up in your eyes and tried your best to give a big fake smile. "Congrats Kami, Jiro must be a lucky girl.." You said, your voice slightly breaking. Denki was to dense to tell that something was wrong, so he couldn't tell how awkward the rest of the lunch period was.
