4 - Yay! What a Surprise.

~ Time Skip – Two Months Later ~

It’s already the middle of October, school has actually been a lot of fun with everyone. Heck Angel and Reiji started dating last month. I giggle at that thought remembering how happy she was when he asked her. Shuu and I are the best of friends we’ve gotten really close…I think I like him way more than that though but there’s also a problem. I don’t think he feels the same considering he talks to me about Monica. This makes me angry and sad but I just put on the happy face and bare it; as long as he’s happy then I’m happy. Anyways the Halloween Masquerade dance is coming up and Sheila, Ryan, Skye, Carlos and I have been keeping a secret from everyone. Not even Angel knows but we plan on playing at the dance but no one will know it’s us until the end. We’re finally going to play our music on stage. Angel will freak considering she doesn’t know I can sing, since all I do is play instruments. I’m so excited about it. Tonight we’re actually having a little get together to celebrate Angel’s and Reiji’s two month anniversary because we’re all such good friends and like embarrassing each other. So I’m at the store with Azusa and Subaru my other two besties. Shuu was supposed to come but he had something else to do according Laito. “Sam, we still need chips and drinks…” Azusa says quietly as he looks over my shoulder at the list and I giggle “oh yeah! Come on let’s go to those aisles!” Subaru snatches the list from. “Who wrote this list out?” I sigh knowing it was Ryan and Sheila. “Guess.” They both look at me. “Ryan and Sheila” they say in unison and I just laugh and they join in. “That’s correct!” Subaru hands me the list back as we continue to get the things we need and head back. We had made it back an hour before the lovely couple would be here so we had to get everything settled quickly. I was working on the food in the kitchen with Yui while the rest of the guys and Sheila were setting decorations. “I’m going to check on the guys. I’ll be right back” Yui say as she runs out of the kitchen. I continued to get the snacks and drinks ready but someone grabbed one of the drinks. “Hey! Not ye….t…” I was about to yell at them thinking it was one of the guys but no it was ‘her’. I froze on the spot. “Why are you in my house?” All she did was smirk “I was invited~” my eyes widened “by who?” I asked. “My boyfriend!” and that’s when Shuu walked in. “Hey Sam I hope you don’t mind me inviting Monica” I just shake my head ‘no’ and he smiles “Do you need any help here” I just fake smile “nope I finished already!” he nods and takes Monica by the hand and leaves the kitchen. Inside I’m literally yelling and having a fit like a child about knowing he’s dating her. I sigh and leave the kitchen to see how everything else is. I walked into the living room to see that the guys were done and just sitting around and some were staring at Shuu and Monica. I noticed Yui talking to her and that’s when she noticed me. “Sam did you hear!! Your best friend has a girlfriend now!” I just force a smile. “I’m happy for him.” I felt eyes on me and looked to my left to see Subaru and Azusa staring at me and just smiled at them. My phone started ringing and I answered it.

-Phone Call-
Angel: Hey we just got to the house. Are you sure about staying at Reiji’s house with the guys tonight?
Me: We’ll talk about that later. Right now just come in the house…you left the kitchen mess from dinner last night and you’re going to clean it before I leave
Angel: Awe Dude!! Really!? Ugh…Fine!!! Click.

We all quickly hid as Angel walked in; it was quiet and dark. “Sam? I know your ass is in here! You know I hate being scared!” I hear Reiji chuckle “here let me turn on the light.” Once the light went on we all jumped out except for Shuu and Monica they just sat on the couch. “HOLY SHIT!! You guys!” Angel yells “Surprise! This is a party for you two!” I say and both Angel and Reiji’s faces go pink. “It can also stand for us all being the best group of friends” Kou says out of nowhere. “I agree.” Shuu says as he puts his arm on my shoulder I just smile and nod. “So then it’s settled! It’s a party for all of us!” Angel says happily. “That includes me and Shuu right?” Monica says pulling Shuu towards her. I kind of just forgot she was here for a second. Angel looked shocked to see her and so did Reiji since he knew about everything thanks to his girlfriend. “What do you mean?” she asked Monica. “We’re dating now!” she states happily which makes Angel look at me I just shrug. “Anyways we have a party to get on with so lets do it!” Skye he says trying to distract everyone. Even though Monica was there I still had fun with everyone. Sure Shuu was distracted most of the time by Monica but hey that’s what happens when you’re in a relationship. The party we had was finally over and we were cleaning up. Shuu left to take Monica home about 30 minutes ago. After the cleaning was taken cared of I went to my room to pack some stuff to leave. I sighed when I got a text.

Text: Sam, I can’t have you stay at the house tonight…I’m sorry maybe next time okay.  –Shuu

I don’t know why I was expecting this but I did, so I was ready for it. Good thing Sheila offered me to stay at her house since she knew something would happen with the former arrangements so I agreed. “I guess I’m staying at Sheila’s place” I said to myself as I finished packing and texted Shuu back saying okay. I walked back to the living room to see everyone there half asleep. “Hey Sheila I’m staying at your place, if it’s still okay” I say with a smile and she returns it. “No problem Sam I Am.” Angel looked up at me “I thought you were going to stay at Reiji’s house with the guys and Yui?” I just shrugged “Shuu said I couldn’t stay...but it’s fine.” I saw Reiji narrow his eyes and Angel looked kind of mad I looked at Yui and the rest of them and they looked confused or were about to pass out. “Either way I think we should all get going so these two can have time together.” I say as I point at my cousin and her lover. Everyone gets up and says goodbye as they leave and I leave with Sheila.
