Jersey's POV 2013We were sitting in the dinning table, awkwardly eating our meal and practically not speaking to each other. This is fine. We normally would have this kind of meal. Even if we rarely have meals together, this is how it usually was.
And it's fine for now. I was practically sweating and trying to put on a less tense face. I'm guessing they haven't known about how terrible my meeting was with that idiotic guy. What's his name again? Mr. Felburn. Killian! That's it!
He basically turned down my well presented offer. But then again, it wasn't my fault that I hadn't known that I was basically yelling at him right before the meeting. He was easily offended!
But what would father say?
Father wouldn't be happy. Mother would be upset and probably get mad. I was raised for perfection basically. When I said my whole life was planned out, I meant it. Every step has already been planned out and all I had to do was complete every tasks.
"So how's the meeting with Optel?" Father asks as he took a bite from his lamb chops.
I looked at him trying to put on a smile while trying to maintain my mind from exploding. "Well, it went a little off the track."
"Is that so?"
"Mmm." I nod. I picked up my glass of water and took a huge drink.
"Killian Felburn right?" Mother asks. "Fred's youngest son? Isn't he the one who's aspiring to be a singer and actor?"
"He is." Father chuckles. "Fred must be proud that one of his sons is taking a different direction."
Oh. So he wants to be an actor, huh?
Mother turns to me with a smile. "I bet he was a dashing young man. Perfect for Hollywood and maybe some action movies! I heard he has the voice of an angel!"
"He's the total opposite of a dashing you man." I muttered and whispered to my self.
Father turns to me and looks confused. "What's that, honey?"
"Nothing."
"So how did the meeting go? Did you get the deal?"
I paused. I felt like my mouth has dried up! I looked at father's face and saw that he was expecting for a really good answer. And I began to sweat so hard. I was afraid to disappoint him.
"Dad." I started. They both looked at me, waiting for my answer. "Well, there's something I need to tell you. I-
Sir." Nigel suddenly comes in the room before I could say anything. "Caden has arrived."
I widened my eyes when he suddenly enters the room with bouquets of flowers in his hand. Specifically, pink carnations. I was surprised to see him well-dressed. I mean, he always is, but he looks different. He wore a dark blue button-up shirt on and his hair was well groomed.
"Caden!" Mother smile widens as Killian bends down to kiss her on the cheek and gave her the bouquet. "Awe! How sweet of you to bring these flowers! Thank you!"
"Of course, Amber." Caden winks at her and mother begins to blush like a teenager.
Caden walks over to father and they gave each other a manly hug. "Sir!"
"My boy! Look at you!" Father chuckles as he pats Caden on the shoulder. "You've grown into such a fine man."
"Thank you, sir." Caden nods. He turns to me and gave me a smile. He walks towards me and gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.
