Jersey's POV 2013I was standing by one of the glass windows overlooking the view of the city far ahead. What a mind-numbing life. I thought to myself as I shrugged my shoulders. Just blinding city lights, just busy city streets, just a plain city with plain people.
Luckily for me, I was living the life!
"Jersey." I turn around to see Nigel, our butler. "the car is ready."
I faintly smile at him. I bent down to pick up my bag and was escorted out to the foyer. A few seconds later, the car finally pulls over the entrance. Nigel gestures for me. I took out my shades before walking to the doors. Then i stop for a second and turned around to Nigel.
"Nigel, please rearrange my purse closet. I'm going to need more room for new ones this afternoon."
"Yes, m'lady."
....
A few minutes later, my driver finally pulls over in front of Celestial Cafe. And immediately, I see through the windows Jade and Stephanie. It took them a few seconds for them to see me. And when they did, they began to wave.
"Bart, pick me up at Seba's Silver Spoon 30 minutes after I call you." I told the driver while picking up my bag.
He nods and turns to me. "Yes, m'lady. By the way, you father asks you to check your emails often. He says he has something important for you to do."
I shrugged my shoulders and opened the car doors. "Tell him to check on his daughter often."
Bart didn't respond, instead he blinked and perhaps surprised but what I said. I giggle before closing the door. "See you later, Bart."
I got inside the cafe and the aroma of coffee and pastries got me all giddy. I turned to the corner and saw two squealing friends. I giggle and walked towards them.
"Took you forever to get here!" Jade laughs as she gave me a quick embrace.
I laughed too and turned to Stephanie. "Sorry, it took forever for Bart to get the Range Rover from way back in father's garage."
"Are you wearing Mac Jacobs?" Stephanie asks smiling. She loves perfumes. She's got a whole wall dedicated for all of her favorite perfumes. I giggle and nod my head.
The three of us had been friends since forever after. Jade and Stephanie were neighbors since they were literally fetuses. I came to their lives in 1st grade when we moved in to the same neighborhood back when we were living in Oklahoma. With our parents expanding businesses, our number of homes have expanded too. Over the course of the many years of our friendships, we've lived in different homes. There's one with me and Steph in the same town, another in a neighborhood. Violet has tons of houses. Condos even. She currently resides in New York but came to visit us here.
Despite the three of us practically living in different places every now and then, we still manage to see each other at least 2 times a month. Next month, we've already planned out a trip to Croatia for our 16th friendship anniversary.
"My god! Is that the latest channel shades?" Jade asks gesturing to my head.
"Sure is." I giggle and she squeals.
"I'm telling daddy to buy me one before our Croatia get away!" She says and immediately starts texting in her phone.
Steph held my arms and looks at me. "You're so lucky you get the latest collections the moment they come out of the market."
