A Repetitive life

Jersey's POV      2013

I groaned as I awoke to the sun beaming down at my face. I blinked my eyes open and suddenly see Miss pup standing by the curtains.

"Good morning, m'lady. Time to wake up." She says. "You've got a busy day ahead of you."

I sighed as I stood from my bed. "Isn't everyday a busy life for me?"

The maids had already drawn my bath. And after, I was dressed in a MaxMara plum dress paired with a simple gold bracelet. Then I had my breakfast. The regular and classic avocado toast with lemon water. Nigel had already organized my schedule for today. And while I was eating, I was reading everything I had to go through for today and most likely for the whole week.

Our family basically has 4 main businesses aside from the other few small ones. Our main family business is basically the Investment company. The one partnered with the Devins, Caden's family. The next main business is the magazine company, followed by the winery father owns, and of course, mother's own jewelry business. The rest are small real estate businesses, restaurants, and other co-owned ones.

With me being the only daughter to infamous Mr. Xander McMahan and Mrs. Amber McMahan, my whole life was basically planned out in spread sheets and contracts. A whole life, prepared to inherit the family trophies. A life prepared for greatness.

Does it scare me?

Yes. Absolutely.

But then again, why would it? Everything is plastered on a golden plate for me. I had nothing to worry about. I have a whole life ahead of me. I didn't have to be scared of choices because everything had been chosen for me. I don't have to worry about my future, my finance, my properties, or whatever other people had to worry about. But it still scares me.

It scares me to think that since everything had been planned out for me, was it all that this life was ever going to be?

Gosh why am I even complaining? I've got everything!

Right now, in the list that Nigel has organized for me, I have a few meetings and some errands to run. Mostly for the magazine company and mother's jewelry business. If they were here, mostly the things I had to do were just attending some boring meetings and going along some invitations that mother or father can't attend to.

Why aren't they here? Well, they are in a business trip in Cuba. Maybe making deals again or something. I don't know. Most of the times, they are away. They travel a lot. Like a lot! They travel at least 3 times a month. We usually don't meet often. It's either they aren't here, or I am somewhere else, having my own kind of fun.

When they are here, it's just pale silence. Pale colors and dullness.

...

"Thank you Ms. McMahan, it was a lovely meeting." Sir Young smiles as he shook my hand.

I nod and gave a bright smile as well. "Always a pleasure, sir. It's lovely working with you."

"And you." He chuckles. "Amber and Xander must have raised you well. I'll let them know that this meeting was a success. And I'm pleased to say, that it's a deal."

"Thank you, sir."

And sometimes I forget how good I am with business. I definitely think I can do this quiet often.
That was my last meeting for today.

And so the day was finished. The day after that, it was a same old cycle. Wake up, meetings, errands, and schedules to follow. The day after that, was the same. So was the next, and the next, and the next.
