Jersey's POV
"Oh my god! You look so beautiful!" Mother sighs as she comes towards me with a light embrace. I purse my lips, flattered by her compliment.
"What do you think?" I asked giving a little spin. I halt in front of a mirror looking at myself and put on a smile. My hair was straightened and was elegantly placed away from my face. My makeup artist did so well with accentuating my light green eyes with a balanced smokey-brown eye shadow. My lips were colored closest to a natural. My white gown fit perfectly and hugged all my curves. It had just the perfect neckline in front with a thin strap and my back was elegantly revealed. The gown reached to the floor with a slit up to my mid thigh.
"It's perfect, dear." Mother smiles. "Caden is going to love this!"
"Mom!" I awkwardly giggle as I walk to the dresser and pick up the tear-drop pearl earrings. I looked at it's details of the earring and can't help but put on a smile.
"I know, dear. I miss her too." She suddenly wraps her shoulders on me and looks at the earrings too.
It was my grandmother's favorite pearl earrings. She gave it to me on my 16th birthday days before she passed away. She loved these earrings because it was given to her by her husband, whom in fact, I have not seen. It was the very first jewelry he ever bought for her since he started the family business and then was handed down to my father.
My grandmother died with cancer. She was such a beautiful woman and the strongest woman I know. She's amazing. And a fun fact, I inherited her green eyes. Mother has blue eyes and father has brown. And I'm so glad I get to remember her through these green eyes. I sometimes stare at the mirror and see her feautures.
I faintly smile as mother helped me put on the earrings on. "Thank you."
"She would be so proud of you." Mother says as he puts on the lock. And after, she kisses me before we both head down stairs to greet dad.
When we made it to the foyer, Dad wore a royal blue tux that made him 100% more handsome. "Look at both of you! You look amazing!"
Mother and I giggled and gave a quick pose. Then she walks to father who gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and turns to me to do so as well.
I looked at mother and father and they were basically matching. Mother's dark blue gown matches so well with father's royal blue suit. And I smiled just looking at them.
Nigel and a maid took a picture of us by the stairs when the doorbell finally rung.
Caden finally enters the doors and he brought a bunch of bags and starts giving them to our maids. "Here you go."
"Thank you sir."
He always brings gifts for them every time his family puts up a party or car show. He says he wants to since they couldn't come.
"Caden!" Father chuckles opening a manly embrace to him. "Come to pick up my Jersey?"
"Yes. And sir, you look dashing!" Caden exaggerates as they both pointed at each other and began to wink.
He was wearing a very fancy brown suit matched with a black turtle neck underneath. He basically looks like a very grown and professional man. A smart grown man.
Mother and I walk down the stairs to greet him. She was all giddy to see him and began to kiss his cheek like a child. "Oh dear! You look so handsome!"
"Really? Thank you, Amber. You look amazing too! I love the gown!" Caden says and giving mother a bouquet of carnations in a black box.
"Awe! You always know my favorite." Mother smiles as she took the flowers and placed it on the center table of the foyer. And I have to say, it complemented this house quiet well.
