Gavins car screeched to a halt at an unfamiliar warehouse, and the place was eerily silent. He got out of the vehicle, walking towards the back exit, rocks loudly crunching below his feet. The air was tense, and by the time he reached the door, he felt freezing. Maybe he should've taken a warmer jacket. Grabbing onto the metal door handle, he pulled it back towards himself, needing to apply more weight than he expected. The door crept open and he immediately heard a few yells ring across the inside of the building. Before he'd even slipped inside a gunshot sounded, and he ran in as quick as he could, taking his gun out if his holster. Figures were running out of the building and he arrived just in time to see Nines fall to the ground, thirium running out of a wound in his chest..
His face suddenly felt hot and wet and his chest constricted. His ears rang as he ran over to his partner, dropping onto the floor and trying to help him sit up.
"Nines!" He exclaimed, as though that would help. The android had already called for backup, that much was apparent, and his hands stained blue as he tried and failed at applying pressure to the wound.
"Alright, stay with me here Nines, wake up..." He murmured, wrapping his arms around the taller figure.

Eventually someone burst through the door, and Gavins head flung back to look at the intruder before he heard voices.
"DPD!"
It was Tina and Chris.
"Over here!" He called back weakly, motioning to Nines and his injury.
As they made their way over, the pair helped Nines up, and the Detective got up from the ground, hoping his partner was okay, something he never thought he'd care about.
