Back Pathway"Who... Who the fuck are you?"
The masked Asteroid sends out another swift whip, but before it touches the girl, the whip burns up and turns into ashes.
She has the same ability as Edward, but this aura she's releasing seems just as powerful.
The masked Asteroid lets out a scream which sends multiple whips heading directly for the student.
"Watch out!"
I try to warn the girl, but once again, the whips turn into ashes before laying any contact onto her.
I've never seen someone barely move an inch and deal such incredible power.
"Screw this!"
The masked Asteroid makes a run for it, but a wall of flames keeps her in the back pathway.
"Y'know, it's not nice to start a fight and not finish it," the girl threatens them, and her eyes were glowing red.
Why does this situation seem like a cringe hero-complex?
"No way!" the masked Asteroid stutters, backing up. "Who the hell do you think you are!"
The girl's hands bursts into flames. "Addeline Voynce, remember that!"
I grab onto her arm before she could strike.
"Come on, don't sink to their level."
The masked Asteroid collapses from fear and lays unconscious onto the pathway.
The student retracts her arm from my grasp.
"You're fucking pathetic."
Huh? She saves my life then says hurtful things?
"What?"
"How fucking dare you act defenceless on that low-life Asteroid."
What is she talking about? I don't have anything to protect myself, let alone to fight back.
The girl punches me in the jaw and I topple onto the floor.
"I spent seven years traumatised! And you're here living the luxury life like this!?"
Is this powerful person on some powerful crack?
"I don't understand what you mean? Have we met?"
I sat on the ground, clearly unable to fight while this powerful Asteroid stood above me. The rage in her eyes slowly subdues.
"You... you don't remember me?"
I cross my legs together.
"No, I don't."
The student leans her hands against her knees and stays silent for a moment.
"I was counting on you to help me, Caine."
Help? And how does she know me?
"I'll take care of this masked person here. You go take your friend to the nearest hospital."
The girl points to Denise who is still unconscious.
I stand up from the ground.
"Thank you for helping us."
But the girl does not say anything.
I grab onto Denise's arm and put it around my shoulders.
"Addeline by the way."
