Chapter 1
-“What is making you so excited that you can’t wait for a decent time to call? It's 4am for God’s sake” She mumbled half asleep, oh she was annoyed! Why was her peaceful sleep getting interrupted?
“Hello to you too Zeynep, you do know sleep is the last thing we can think of in our profession. Right? Now wake up I have a news for you” He chuckled at how irritated she was.
“Sergeant Omer Kaya stop your chuckle right there and start speaking.” A strict voice came into the picture which made him get his senses back to work.
“Boss is there with you and you didn’t even feel like mentioning this to me? Above of all you’re speaking nonsense about my sleep in front of him? I hate you!” She sprang up on the bed as if they were in front of her and almost cried in horror while she yelled at him over the phone call.
“Okay, we’ll discuss this later I promise but right now we have to discuss something more important and serious” He trailed off the last part as a whisper.
“Is everything okay?” She shook her head as she realized that nothing can be okay if she is getting a call from her colleague along with the Major at this time.
“A woman. Age 25. Found dead in an apartment.” He replied the next second in a mechanical way.
“Oh. When?”
“Any more details?”
“I’m texting you the details and the crime location. We’ve sealed the place for public so you need to be there within half an hour.”
“Okay. I’ll be there as soon as possible, don’t worry.” With that she ended the call.
A minute after she received the text containing the location and all the details she needed for now.

After going through the text one more time she stood up and went towards her mother’s room to inform her about the latest journey she’ll be going on. Entering the room she looked at her mother, she felt terrible knowing that now her mother’s day will be filled with just praying for her until she returns back home.
-“Amma. Wake up” She sat on her knees right beside the bed and shook her mother’s shoulder who woke up almost instantly. Ah how used to she was of such things.
“Zeynep, what happened my child? Are you okay?” She rubbed her eyes as she looked at her daughter.
“Yes Amma I am fine, a new case has come up, I need to leave in 10 minutes.”
