Cups of tea and early mornings (Empacer)

(A/N: SORRYY I know this ship isn't popular but it's such a comfort ship for me please don't scream at me Emperor X Gloves shippers-)

N-Pacer sat on the couch while the early morning sun crept through the windows. The house was silent except for the murmur of the T.V. in the background.  Her sun yellow tentacles hung loosely over her shoulders. She sipped her cup of tea. Everything was peaceful.

"Pacer?" A voice called out from the hall. N-Pacer perked her head up. Leaning against the wall at the edge of the hallway was a very sleepy looking Emperor. "What are you doing up so early?"

"I was about to ask you the same thing." N-Pacer smiled. Emperor smiled and sat down beside her.  

"You look nice with your tentacles down." Emperor said. N-Pacer blushed slightly and smiled.

"Why thank you." She said smiling. Emperor nodded and turned his focus towards the T.V.

"Want some tea?" N-Pacer asked "I know you normally don't drink it but..."

"I'll try it." Emperor said. N-Pacer nodded and stood up. She walked into the kitchen and started to prepare the tea. She dipped the tea bag into the hot water. When she finished making the tea, she walked it out to the living room and handed it to Emperor. Emperor took the hot cup into his hand and sipped it. He closed his eyes for a moment, savoring the flavor.

"You like it?" N-Pacer asked. Emperor nodded.

"It's good." He said. N-Pacer smiled.

"I should make you some more often." She said. 

"That would be nice." N-Pacer responded. Emperor wrapped his arm around N-Pacer's shoulder and brought her closer to him. N-Pacer flinched at the sudden contact. 

"Sorry, if you don't want me to I-" Emperor started. 

"No, it's fine." N-Pacer said. Emperor nodded. The two of them sat watching T.V. and sipping tea. Suddenly, N-Pacer felt a weight upon her shoulder. She looked down and saw Emperor's head resting on her shoulder. 

"Emperor?" She asked.

"Hmm?" Emperor hummed.

"Never mind." N-Pacer said N-Pacer sat her cup on the coffee table and sighed. She lowered the volume of the T.V. Within a few minutes, Emperor's breathing steadied, signaling that he was asleep. N-Pacer smiled to herself, enjoying the peace and serenity of the early morning. 

--LATER--

"Shh!!" Squidkid Jr. said.

"What?" Prince said rubbing his eyes. "What's wrong?" Squidkid Jr. put his fingers to his lips and gestured towards the living room. Prince tilted his head.

"I don't get it?" 

Squidkid Jr. chuckled and ran into the living room,  Prince following closely behind.  Squidkid Jr. pointed to the couch.  Sitting on it were Emperor and N-Pacer, asleep and holding hands. 

"Oh." Prince said blinking, not sure what the appeal was. Prince sighed and walked back into his room. Squidkid Jr. rolled his eyes and whipped out his phone, taking a photo of the sleeping couple.
