Chapter Fifteen

I sat down with Taehyung and my lawyer waiting for the judge's statement. I held onto Taehyung's hand tightly. Yuri's father wanted to get full custody. He was a good liar and was able to convince people. I let on a sigh and then felt Taehyung rub his thumb over my hand.

The judge had come back to the room. "By looking through the case I see that there was a lot conflict between you two. Kim Yuri had been taken into the full custody of Park Y/n, because of the absence and abuse from the ex-husband and father of Yuri, Kim Minho." The judge cleared his throat. "But we have seen that Kim Minho has been getting treated and is doing better so he can be a part of Kim Yuri's life and started doing weekly visits. Kim Minho then requested full custody over Yuri." The judge flips through some pages. "Mr. Kim, you have made very good progress."

I began squeezing on Taehyung's hand.

"But. Because you haven't been there as much. We are going to only do half custody. Ms. Park can have her on the weekdays, Monday through Thursday, and Mr. Kim can have her on the weekends, Friday through Sunday. Any holidays or events can be talked out between the two of you."

I felt my heart break. I was glad he didn't get full custody, but he still had some over her. I felt Taehyung wipe away tears that ran down my face. I looked at him and he pulls me into a hug.

"Today is Wednesday, so you can get Yuri prepared to see her father more often. Mr. Kim may pick her up Friday morning, or you can drop her off." The judge stood up and left. Taehyung and I walked out to the hallway.

My lawyer came out a few minutes later. I tried hard not to breakdown. He walks up to us. "I'm sorry we weren't able to take away all of the custody. At least it's only half and you didn't lose custody of her. Just make sure you keep an eye out for anything on Yuri. That we can use against him to take the custody away."

I nodded to him. "Thank you so much." We shook hands and we walked to Taehyung's car. I sighed and buried my head in my hands. Once Taehyung starts to drive I broke out in tears. I felt Taehyung put a comforting hand on my thigh. "Tae... God... Why is this happening?" I cried.

"Hey... let's think positively. He was right. At least he didn't get full custody." Taehyung spoke in a soft voice. I sighed, wiping my tears away.

He was right. I know he was, but it still hurts...

"Yuri's going to think I hate her..." I bit my lip trying not to cry.

"Babe. If Yuri figured out that Minho was her real father, I'm sure she will somewhat understand. Plus when she sees how torn up about it you are... she may understand in a way." Taehyung says as he turned the steering wheel.

Taehyung parks the car once we got to the Got7 dorm. Yuri said she wanted to spend time with her Got7 and BTS uncles. So, they all planned to hang out there while Taehyung and I were at the court meeting. Taehyung holds my hand as we went up to the dorm. Jackson opens the door for us, he was smkling brightly. But once he noticed my saddened expression, his smile went away.

"What happened?" Jackson asked concerned.

"He got custody..." Y/n's voice shook. "Not full custody... but half."

"What? That's messed up." Jackson spoke as he let us into the dorm. "What happens now?"

"Now... We are all about to talk about it, and with Yuri..." I sighed as we walked into the living room. Yuri was running from Jimin to Jungkook to Yugyeom and repeated her actions.

"Yuri-ah." Taehyung calls out.

Yuri gasps, turning towards us. "Daddy!" She ran over. Taehyung smiles picking her up.

I scoffed, "What about mommy? I'm here too." I pouted and Yuri giggles and leans over to me for a hug. I kissed her head, and she centered herself back with Taehyung.

After awhile, we ate dinner and Yuri had fallen asleep on Taehyung's lap. Everyone was spread throughout the living room. Yugyeom suddenly spoke, making everyone look at him. "So, what happened? Jackson said Minho hyung won half custody."

I sighed, nodding. "He gets her on the weekends." I looked down at the little girl who was asleep on Taehyung's lap. "She's going to hate this... I don't know how to tell her this. How do I even tell her that she has to spend three days with the man she hates?"

"Like I said in the car, I think she would understand. She understands that he is her real father, Y/n. You should have fate in her. She's a smart girl." Taehyung puts an arm around my back. I nodded.

"But you know how she'll be when we take her on Friday."

He nods now. "You're right, but I'll come with you. Because I know how you are going to react to it." I looked up at Taehyung once he said those words. "It's hard on both of you."

I gave him a soft smile. "Thank you Tae."

"Right and we are also here for you too noona." Yugyeom says.

I looked at all of them and smiled, nodding. "Yeah, I know and I thank you all for that."
