Chapter Sixteen

It was Friday morning. I had fed Yuri breakfast and got her dressed. I was fixing her hair when I heard Taehyung's voice echo through the apartment. "Hey babe?"

"We're in Yuri's room!" I called out to him.

"Mommy..." I saw Taehyung enter and then looked down at Yuri.

"Yes baby?" I asked.

"Do I got to go? I wanna stay with mommy and daddy." She pouts.

I sighed and caressed her cheek. "Baby girl, we talked about this. Mommy wishes she could do something... but they said you have to see him for three days. I promise Yuri, mommy and daddy will be there Monday morning okay? We will pick you up and then go out for a special breakfast. How does that sound?"

"No." Yuri whimpers.

I sighed, glancing up at Taehyung. He walks over to us and crouches down. "Hey princess." Yuri turns away and hugs Taehyung.

"Daddy..."

"Hey... You know, you are such a strong little girl. Mommy and daddy are so proud of you." Taehyung spoke softly. "And I know the next three days are going to be a bit hard on you, but it'll be over before you know it. Do you think you can do that baby girl?"

Yuri pulls away from Taehyung. She sadly nods her head. "Do you want Tannie to go with you?" I asked her, holding up the stuffed animal dog Taehyung bought her.

Taehyung looks up at me. "Tannie?"

I chuckled. "She said she wanted to name it after her daddy's puppy." Taehyung lets out a smile and hugs Yuri again.

"Mommy, let's leave Tannie here. I don't want him to steal it..." Yuri says quietly.

"Okay baby." Taehyung walks out of the apartment with Yuri in his arms. I picked up Yuri's bag and walked out of the apartment. I locked the door and met Taehyung at the car. He takes rhe bag and sets it on the floorboard in the back seats. Taehyung held my hand as he drove to Yuri's father, Minho's house.

When we got there, I went to the backseats to unbuckle Yuri. Taehyung grabs the bag and walked to the door. I rang the doorbell.

Minho answers the door and smiles. "Hi baby girl!" He puts his arms out to take Yuri, but she didn't lean towards him. She just tightened her arms around my neck and began to whimper.

I felt my heart break and then gulped, knowing that Yuri was going to have a meltdown.

"Yuri." Minho calls out softly to her.

She whines, "No! Mommy!"

I sighed and hugged her. Taehyung walks up and we walked inside of the house. "Here's a bag. There's extra clothes and toys in there. You can keep them here for the days that she is here." He hands the bag to her father. "Yuri usually naps around one everyday. Sometimes she won't nap and that's fine, but if she doesn't she gets super grumpy and whiny." Taehyung explains to him. "Uhm..." He glances at me. "Oh right. She really likes it if you hold her till she falls asleep, or just to be near her. Y/n usually will lay her in bed and kind of softly brush her fingers through Yuri's hair. We are trying to get her to fall asleep without us holding her."

"More like she was doing just fine before you kept holding her to sleep." I shot at Taehyung.

He chuckles, "I can't help it. She's adorable when she's asleep."

This made me smile as Taehyung turned back to Minho and kept talking. He knew so much about her in the little time he has known her. It made my heart flutter even more for him. He was so caring towards Yuri.
