It's the end of the school day. And Arabella is still trying to convince Zack and Mason to go home and leave her behind.
"Are you sure you don't need us" Zack questions one last time, not liking the idea of leaving the school, without the princess.
Arabella sighs "Guys, I've told you a thousand times, I can manage on my own. You don't have to stick around to protect me."
This much was true. As the only heir to the throne, her parents had ensured that she knew how to protect herself in the event of an attack. She was a recognized black belt in martial arts and she also knew how to use a sword. But Alas, her overprotective mother still insisted that she needed to have bodyguards wherever she went.
"Now please go home," Arabella told the two brothers, while gently tugging them to the car.
Mason looks like he's about to protest again, but Arabella doesn't let him utter a single word.
"Go home. And that's an order, guys" She tells them, reluctantly.
Although she did not want to boss the brothers around, she was left with no other choice.
"Fine. We'll leave" Zack finally gives up. "But, please call us if there's any problems"
Arabella nods as the two brothers entered into the car. They both bid their goodbyes as they pulled out of the school's parking lot.
Arabella then walked over to a nearby bench in the courtyard and sat down. She pulled out her cellphone from inside her backpack and began playing a game on her phone, while waiting for Spencer.
"Ready to go, Princess?" A familiar voice speaks into her ear, startling her from behind.
Arabella turns around to face Spencer, who's looking at her, with an amused smirk playing on his lips. "Oh my god, you just scared me and you think it's funny" she scowls at him.
Spencer laughs, raising his arms in surrender, "Sorry, I did try calling out to you before, but you were too engrossed in your game to realize."
"Anyway, are you ready to go, my driver's waiting for us." Spencer continues.
"Yeah, I'm ready. Let's go." Arabella nods while lifting her schoolbag off the ground and placing it onto her shoulders in a swift motion.
They then made their way over to the school's parking lot, where Spencer's driver had been waiting.
The driver notices Spencer, and immediately gets out of the car and opens the door for them to get in. Arabella enters the car first, taking a seat on the right side, while Spencer sits on the left.
Once they were fully settled, the driver then starts the engine and pulls out of the school.
The car ride is short but comfortable, with each of them occupied by their thoughts. And soon they arrive at their destination.
There's a guard outside the gate, who recognizes the car and opens the gate. The driver then enters the pathway and pulls up in front of a huge white mansion.
They exit the car and Spencer leads her to the front of the house where a man in a suit stood at the front door. Was he Spencer's father? Arabella wonders to herself. They didn't look alike so she could not tell.
