Brantley Morris, a young adult trying to find his way through life and get experience from dating guys in his area. He is a very sentimental and caring guy who would climb mountains for the people he loves, but the thing he doesn't understand is that those mountains are trembling avalanches. His friends try to prevent him giving his heart away to every guy, but it always ends up hurting him. He lives with his single mother, Valerie who is quite not the kind hearted person.

[Back in 2009, Valerie had came home from work early, due to the power outage at her office. Anyways, she arrived home early than Rodolfo (her husband at the time) expected. As soon she arrived home, she had noticed a pair of high heels by the hallway and noticed her robe on the couch. She heard these moaning sounds and grunting noises coming from her bedroom. Opening the door, she was aghast to discover her husband and his secretary under the sheets. Valerie wanted to work things out and fix their marriage, but Rodolfo would never hold up his end of the deal. He had then packed his stuff and left the family, which led Valerie to have a heavy drinking problem]

Brantley Morris lives just on the bay in Texas, which has a lot high wind speeds. On a breezy sunny day in Corpus Christi, Brantley spends the day at home on his phone. He suddenly observes his phone as he gets a notification from one of his dating apps, he had installed on his phone. As he pulls his phone closer, he smiles down and giggles at the message from sender,

Matt : Hey handsome. Can't help but notice how attractive you are. If you're down, maybe we can grab some food and come back to my house to chill. I'm down to fuck or whatever. You trade?

Brantley rolls his eyes as he sighs and deletes the message from his phone. He grabs the bottle of water from the table as he takes a sip of it, then he unlocks his phone again and continues to sigh. He goes to take a look at all of his old messages from the previous guys who have hurt and used him. He looks down and softly says to himself,

Brantley : Fuck these dudes. Why do I keep doing this shit to myself? I keep on searching for love at the wrong places, like why the hell do I keep thinking I will find true love online. Ugh I hate this, why is it so difficult?

He asks himself as he lays comfy on the couch and turns on the tv. Laying his head on the pillow, he hears a the wood floor creak.

Valerie : Because men are shit and will always be like that. They will never change. Also... I need a twenty for some more wine.

The raspy voice from his mom is heard from the back of the room. Turning around quickly, he sees her sipping a small glass of wine as she has the same dress from yesterday. Brantley's face turns red as he rolls his eyes at her and mumbles,

Brantley : Why must you drink all the damn time?
Valerie : What did you say?

Brantley looks behind the couch as he then stands up and looks at her. He notices her begin to stumble a bit as he raises his voice,

Brantley : I said, why the hell do you drink so much? I hate to remind you, but you still have a son, you waste your time drinking and doing bad things. You're starting to set up as a horrible role model for me. I don't see you getting clean anytime soon. I hate having to clean up after you.

Valerie sighs loud and stares hardly at Brantley, as she smiles and pours out her drink on the floor. She then drops the glass on the floor and watches it shatter into pieces and walks to her bedroom. Brantley scoffs as he rolls his eyes at her,

Brantley : Go sleep it off!
