Chapter Twelve :

As Toby pulls over next to Caleb's truck, everyone exits as they all stretch and look up at the house. Brantley steps off the truck as Caleb smiles and heads over to Toby's car.

Caleb : Hey man, I can help unpack y'all's stuff. You can go take a look around if you want.
Toby : Okay sure, thanks.
Caleb : Don't mention it.

Toby opens the trunk and watches Caleb take some of the bags inside the house as Brantley smiles at Piper and Ruby. While they all talk, Toby begins to walk around and notices a shed locked with boxes, covering the door.

Tyler : Yo! Over here man!
O'Shay : What are you doing?
Toby : Hm? Oh, I'm coming.

Toby raises his eyebrow and turns around as he walks to the group as he notices Brantley talking to Asher more. Piper and Ruby begin to eavesdrop as Asher gets nervous, beginning to stutter.

Asher : S-Sorry.
Brantley : Don't worry you're good.
Toby : What's up?
Brantley : Just asking where he's from, that's all.
Asher : I'm here. I mean, I'm from here. Well, not here the ranch, I'm from-

Brantley begins to laugh and holds Asher's arm as he looks into his eyes and notices something. Piper and Tyler both look at Ruby and Toby as O'Shay quickly grabs Asher's arm. O'Shay takes Asher somewhere else as they take a little walk.

Brantley : I make him nervous huh? Haha.
Toby : Yeah, a little. Poor kid.
Tyler : He's probably scared of you.
Brantley : Why? Because I'm the ex?
Piper : Maybe. But don't worry, we talked to him on the way here.
Brantley : Oh really? What's he like.

Ruby looks over at Piper and shakes her head softly, as Piper closes her eyes and walks away. Brantley raises his eyebrow confused about the situation. O'Shay comes back with Asher as he stands in the back, pinching himself. As Caleb finishes putting everyone's bags inside, he comes outside and smiles at everyone as Brantley looks up at him.

Caleb : It's Asher right?
Asher : Yes.
Caleb : Huh, you and Brantley look a bit alike, you both related?
Asher : N-No. Different dads. I mean, different parents. I guess we just have those faces that look alike but not related.
Brantley : He could pass as my twin, haha.
Piper : He could.

The group laughs as Caleb leads everyone to the cabins. He points at the first cabin, getting on the steps, he opens the door, and reveals the inside.

Caleb : Each cabin has two beds so y'all can choose who sleeps with who.
Toby : Okay great.
Piper : When was the last time these cabins have been used?
Caleb : Two years ago. But don't worry, I already disinfected and cleaned each cabin.

The group nods as Caleb smiles down at Brantley. He then takes Brantley's hand as he whispers something in Brantley's ear. As he nods they both walk towards the pond as they sit on a bench, while the others settle in the cabins.

Ruby : I'm not really a fan of Caleb either.
Toby : Thank you, I told you.
O'Shay : I feel like he is moving too fast and I would hate to see-
Asher : Get his hopes up because he's the kind of guy who rushes into relationships, and always feels insecure and responsible at the end?
Ruby : Damn. You really didn't hold back.
Asher : Can you guys tell me about him. I still can't believe, we are related.
Toby : What do you want to know?
Asher : How is he? Is he a party animal? Does he drink a lot? Were you guys the popular kids in school? Is there another sibling?
Ruby : He's a really great friend and I known him since we were pretty much kids. His parents knew my parents.
Tyler : He is total opposite of a party animal. He's really shy and awkward at first, but once you get a good conversation going, you're going to want to remember his name.
O'Shay : He doesn't really drink. Honestly, when he would go to the parties he would only have like three shots. He's different than us, but we all love him.
Piper : I'm the popular one, I was the one who invited these losers to my parties. After you get to know him, he becomes talkative and most likely annoy you. But he means well, he's actually the youngest one out of us all.
Ruby : Well not anymore. Because of you.

Asher smiles at Brantley and looks at O'Shay. They both start whispering about sharing a cabin for the night. Tyler and Piper both hold hands, giggle loud, and run inside a cabin. Toby goes inside the cabin and sits on the bed, as Ruby walks in smiling.

Toby : Close the door?
Ruby : Sure. We still need to talk about-
Toby : Ruby, I know. I never meant for it to happen. It was just a fucked up night.
Ruby : I know. Toby, you just needed someone. Brantley can't know because he has a lot of shit he doesn't know about, and I feel like I'm lying to him.
Toby : First things first, we need to make sure Brantley is seeing things clear. We got to make sure that Caleb guy is good and not hiding anything.
Ruby : Hiding anything?
Toby : There's a shed and it's locked and blocked off.
Ruby : So?
Toby : I'm having a bad gut feeling.
Ruby : That's your fault.

Toby smiles as Ruby blushes as she steps closer. Toby looks up at her as he bites his lip and grabs her hands.

Toby : I know we said, not to talk about it.
Ruby : Y-Yeah?
Toby : I don't want to do anymore talking...

Toby then pulls Ruby down to the bed as she leans in for a kiss as they both start going for it. His hands all over her body, while she started to unbutton his pants.
