"Bakit seen lang?" Bungad niya sa akin nang sagutin ko ang tawag niya.

Inirapan ko siya dahil kitang kita ko ang ngisi niya sa screen kahit nakahiga siya. Natawa naman siya.

"Saya ka?"

"Oo, kita kita e."

I bit the insides of my cheek to prevent myself from smiling and rolled my eyes again.

"Ang corny mo talaga," I whispered instead.

"Oo na lang kahit kitang kita ko pamumula mo."

I quickly turned the camera to Francis who's now in his crib while drinking milk from the bottle.

"O bakit mo nilipat? Hiya ka pa, e nakita ko na." Natatawa na naman siya.

"Pinapakita ko lang na nagpapatulog ako ng bata kaya huwag kang maingay."

Ibinalik ko sa akin ang camera at umupo malapit sa crib.

"Ay sorry, patayin ko na ba?" Nag-iba ang tono niya kaya umiling agad ako.

"Kukuha lang ako ng earphones."

"Yie, gusto rin niya akong kausap."

I mouthed 'nyenye'and he just laughed. When I got my earphones, I plugged it in and put it in my ears.

"Okay na?"

Nagthumbs-up ako.

"Ano, hindi ka magsasalita?"

I shook my head and put my index finger on my lips.

"Kanta ka na lang ng lullaby para mapatulog mo si Francis at the same time maririnig ko boses mo."

Gusto ko sana siyang barahin kaso mas nauna 'yong kilig ko kaya sinunod ko na lang siya.

"Sun goes down and we are here together..."

I saw him close his eyes and smiled as I sung the first word of the song and I can't help but to stare at him as I continue singing.

"Fireflies, glow like a thousand charms
Stay with me and you can dream forever
Right here in my arms, tonight..."

When I finished the song, his eyes were still closed so I figured that he fell asleep, too, like Francis.

I continued humming for a few more minutes to make sure that he's sleeping peacefully. The last few weeks was hard for him. He deserve to be at peace even for a short period of time and I'm more than willing to give it to him.
