"I'm so bored, "

Okada stumbled through her room, blurry-eyed, scavenging for her coffee powder, something she couldn't live without. She was just so bored of everything. The people in the agency thought that she was a joke. Honestly, her powers were good for manipulation and shit, so they probably didn't like her very much. Okada let out a triumphant cry upon catching sight of the infamous brown packets in her cupboard.

Okada didn't have some cool combat power, like Kenji, and she didn't have some mind-blowing ability, like Yosano. She was just Okada, who could just brainwash everyone if she wanted to, but is pretty much useless because of Okada's 'sense of justice'. Honestly, she would be more useful to the agency if she just lost that sense of justice. But that was just some part of her actual power, kitsune. Honestly, couldn't she turn into a tiger, like Atsushi or something? How inconvenient.

"Even though Dazai introduced me to the agency, it's still boring. It's not like I haven't done any of this before, " Okada groaned, resting her face in her palm as she poured her coffee without looking at it.

The loud blaring of the police cars passing by Okada's block caused her to stumble back, the coffee spilling onto her, staining her skirt. She groaned. That was her favourite shirt! Either way, after downing her coffee (yes, she burned her tongue), she slipped on her mask, bounding after the police car. Yes, she was a whole kilometre behind, but she could still hear it! Don't question plot holes!

Picking up the sound with her fox hearing, she darted after the vehicle, swiftly dodging pedestrians and cars. Finally, the car has stopped, leaving her time to catch up. As she finally arrived, she transformed back, her mask falling neatly into her palm as she pocketed it. As she walked up to the crime scene, she noticed the radio in the police car which was shouting out commands. Rolling her eyes, Okada reached into the unlocked car and switched it off, the sound giving her migraines. Little did she know, the radio was advising that no one enter the crime scene, for every officer that had went in lost connection and never came out.

As Okada stepped into the spooky building, transforming back into her normal form. Looking around the building, she was met with a horrifying sight. The bodies of police officers tossed carelessly on top one another, their scarlet red blood oozing out of gashes on their chests. In the middle, she spotted a pink-haired girl, giggling like a maniac to herself as though she had not killed them. Okada's shoulders went slack.

"Ah, I didn't think I would see you so soon, Akabane, " Okada smirked.

"Who else would use playing cards to slash a bunch of helpless civilians?" she giggled. God, she was starting to sound like Yuno Gasai. Scary.

"Well, I guess today is the big day, huh? Our fight? I'll give you a handicap and not use my mind control abilities, " Okada gloated, just to make Akabane irritated.

"No! I dare you to go all out on me, " Akabane growled, pissed. Okada's provocation had worked. Honestly, the girl got riled up too easily. Especially over Dazai.

"All right, all right. Though I don't know if Dazai would be particularly happy about you slicing up his colleague." Okada taunted.

Without a warning, Akabane took the form of a dragon, cracking the ceiling and lunging at the poor girl. Luckily, Okada has turned into a fox in time and leapt on top of the dragon's paws, running to the head and turning back into human form. Taking out her dual knives, she stabbed the dragon in its throat, sliding off the giant winged lizard with ease. The dragon transformed back into Akabane, but with no visible harm done to her. However, Akabane was clutching her throat in pain.

"So, you improved, huh? You couldn't even transform into lizard when I first met you, " Okada grinned.

Akabane snickered. It had been only a week since they had last met, yet it felt like forever. Akabane sighed, taking a cigarette out of her pocket and lighting it. Although the dark creature had taken a lot of energy, Okada defeated it in a second. This time, she wouldn't leave a chance.

At this second, her eyes turned into a cold black shade, a crude smile upon her face. Okada shivered in excitement. Before, Akabane always lost to her dark side, therefore she couldn't use it without the supervision of Dazai. However, seeing that she hadn't gone berserk yet, it proved that she had improved a lot. Regardless, it would be highly irresponsible of an Armed Detective Agency member to let a member of the Port Mafia destroy the building and kill a bunch of guys. If she didn't call the ambulance quick, they would bleed out. Okada sighed with disappointment. Perhaps it would be better to continue the battle another day.

Stop.

Suddenly, Akabane's body went limp, collapsing on the ground. Sighing, she threw Akabane's surprisingly light body over her shoulder, and called an ambulance over. As she walked out, she looked back at the building in dismay. The battle would continue another day.

As she headed back, she dialled Dazai's number. After a few rings, the man of the hour had finally picked up.

"Ah, Okada-chan! Hello!" Dazai's cheery voice filled her ears.

"Oh, Dazai, do you know where to Port Mafia headquarters is? I need to drop off a little someone, "

"Ooh, I see. It's the big black building in the middle of town. Anything else?"

"Nah, "

"Well, don't die!"

The call had cut, leaving Okada there with a confused look upon her face. Would they kill her if she dropped off an unconscious comrade of theirs? Waving the idea off, Okada trudged to the Port Mafia headquarters, unaware of the danger that she had put herself in.

Boy, was she in for a ride.
