Gotta catch 'em all (Ash x reader)

ch-8 Kiss and a familiar person

I waited for Ritchie to come, we had planned to eat lunch then practice with our pokemon together. He finally came into view. "Hey! What took you so long?" I asked. "Sorry, got stuck in the elevator." he apologized. "Lets go! I'm hungry!" I said, marching to the nearby restaurant. He laughed and followed me. (You might wanna know why reader-chan isn't spending time with her crush. She thinks Ash doesn't like her and wants to get over him.)

While we were walking, we heard an announcement saying we have to go to the pavilion for a pokemon inspection or something. "We should go." Ritchie said and grabbed my hand, running out of the restaurant we just entered in. "B-but my food!" I whined. He ignored my protests (and my grumbling stomach) and we reached the pavilion, as he let my hand go.

"Hey Ritchie! Y/n!" We both turned to the voice. "Hey! Ash, how's it going?" Ritchie asked as he jogged to my black-haired 'friend' with me following behind slowly. "You guys know each other?" I asked. "You know him?" Ash and Ritchie asked simultaneously while looking at me and I nodded. The two people at the front said something about putting our pokeballs in the bag they had, something's fishy. We put our pokeballs nonetheless.

"Hey, we got the Pikachus Jessie." the male said. "Wait, did you just say Jessie?" "Hey, you look a lot like those guys from team rocket!" Ash and Ritchie said. Yup, they turned out to be team rocket. Weezing used smoke screen to prevent us from seeing but I took out my traditional Japanese fan (You always have it with you because your mother gave it to you.) and used it to blow away some of the gas so I could see and ran towards the direction the thieves went in.

Ritchie and Ash followed. We followed the van till we saw a steep hill, making us halt. I was the first one to run down it, followed by Ash, then Ritchie. Ritchie tried to stop us, and managed to stop Ash before he ran off the cliff, but I already knew there was a cliff, and I jumped with Ash and Ritchie yelling my name.

I gripped into one of the rocks on the cliff, and steadily climbed down. "Come on guys! We're losing time!" I yelled, making them look down the cliff only to see me, without any injuries and whatnot. "Y/n! You're alright!" They said in relief. Ha, they thought I was dead. "Of course I am! It takes more than just a fucking cliff to kill me!" I said. They also started climbing down as I reached the bottom and waited for them. After a few seconds, they too reached the bottom and jumped down.

I jumped onto the van like Spiderman while the boys stood in front of it. They freaked out as their van skidded to the side, off another cliff. I quickly flipped and jumped down before I could get hurt because of the van. (Reader got some good reflexes damn-) All three of us ran after team rocket, but lost track of them. By now, it was night time. "Maybe we should call it a night." Ritchie said. "Yeah, you look like you're gonna fall asleep." Ash said as he observed my behavior. I was indeed feeling light-headed. "Mm, you're right." I said as I yawned loudly while stretching.

"I don't have sleeping bag." Ash muttered. "Take mine." I told. "Where will you sleep then?" Ritchie asked, setting his sleeping bag. "I love sleeping on trees, so bye!" I said, running off to the nearest tree, which was near where they were camping, I could easily listen to their conversation and reply too. I climbed onto it, laying on a branch in a comfortable position. Ash apologized to Ritchie for shoving him away after the brunette saved his life.

~2nd person pov~
"But you should be careful too, you tried to stop team rocket by jumping in front of the van." Ash said. "You did too!" Ritchie exclaimed. "But we both gotta agree that Y/n was the most reckless one today. Though she's very mature and careful." Ash said, sighing. "Yeah, but did you see her reflexes? She jumped off the cliff and climbed down so professionally. And that time she literally jumped onto the van to stop them, then jumped off while flipping!" Ritchie said.
