"It's princess festival!" Misty cheered. Me and her had gotten many desserts and were eating happily. "Yeah! I love this day! I get free food!" I said. "Eh? You guys are only gonna get that?" Misty asked Ash and Brock, seeing they only brought orange juice. "H-here." I said, giving half of my desserts to Ash. Our hands touched barely, as we both pulled away, blushing crimson while letting out a string of apologies.
Misty and Brock laughed hysterically at our flustered states, finding our suffering to be amusing. "Hey Ash... do you perhaps... mind helping me with the shopping bags today?" I asked, still not looking at him, eating my desserts in embarrassment. "As long as you don't buy too much and my hands don't hurt, then sure!" He said, looking at me, and I looked back. "Yeah, I'm not much of a fan of shopping anyway, just have to buy a set of clothes or two and some food for the journey. Oh, and also the ingredients to make pokefood!" I explained. Ash sighed out of relief.
Misty brought tons of things that were on sale, while I just bought a new set of clothes for the journey, a black dress, and some ingredients for pokefood. Right now, Misty and James were fighting for some cloth, which some other old woman took away.
"In just a few minutes we will be holding the main event of this year's princess festival, the queen of the festival contest. The prize for the contest winner will be a new, one-of-a-kind collection of pokemon princess dolls!" Was announced. "Princess dolls?!" Me, Misty and Jessie exclaimed, then looked at each other. "And in addition, the winner will have a picture with the screen sensation, Fiorello Cappuccino!" the announcer exclaimed. At this, most of the girls ran to participate in the contest.
I ran too, but not for the picture, but for the dolls. You see, Gary never let me have pokemon dolls, well, it was my decision, but only because if I acted tough, Gary would like me. (platonic way.) You see, he never really respected me, but when I gave up being girly, he immediately stuck to me. (This doesn't make sense but, meh.) We were all dressed in some fancy kimonos, but mine was way more different from others. I wore something that looked more like a princess-warrior, not the long sleeved ones unlike others."Woah, look at that girl in the princess-warrior like kimono, she's pretty." Fiorello commented, in his deep voice, as I looked at Ash, who looked in a daze. They then showed the dolls, ok, that just made me want them even more! They're kawaii~ "Now all contestants prepare their pokeballs." announced the commentator. I smirked. "Fuck yeah." I whispered underneath my breath.
My match was up first, with some blue-haired girl. "Rattata go!" She said, throwing her pokeball. "In that case, Champ I choose you!" I said, sending out my Machamp, the pokemon I recently caught. Due to the type advantage, I won. "Rattata! Return. Go Staryu!" She said, sending out her Staryu. "Champ, return. Zip, let's go!" I said, sending out Zip. Again I won. She sent out Beedrill as I won using Zip only again. I beat her Pidgey too.
One match after another, I kept on winning, till it was the semi-finals, against Misty. "Bulbasaur, go!" She said, sending Ash's Bulbasaur. "Char, I choose you!" I said, sending out my Charizard. "Char, use flame thrower!" I said, and Bulbasaur fainted. She sent out Starmie and I returned Char, and sent out Zip. "Starmie, use water gun!" She ordered. "Dodge and electro-ball!" I told. She swiftly dodged Starmie's attack and used electro-ball, a move she learnt during a battle. Starmie fainted.
"Vulpix go!" She sent out Brock's Vulpix. "Use thunderbolt and end this." I said. Vulpix also fainted. Misty sent out Zap and I returned Zip. "Coco, go!" I sent out Coco, who had evolved into an unknown pokemon, but she's a ground type."Y/n just sent out a mysterious pokemon, it looks like an eeveelution!" the announcer exclaimed. "Her pokemon are as mysterious as her." Fiorello commented. "Pikachu! Use thunder bolt!" "Use dig to dodge then use mud shot!" I said. Zap got temporarily blinded. "Finish it up with tackle!" She used tackle, and Zap was out of the boundary lines.
"So now our final battle is between Jessie and Y/n!" I walked to Misty, who looked sad. "I'm... sorry, but I really want those dolls..." I apologized, while looking down, guilty. "Its okay! I'm not mad." She said and hugged me, I hugged back. "It's just that... I didn't really have any dolls ever since I was five and I really wanted some...." I murmured in her orange hair, and pulled away. She smiled at me. "As I said, it's okay!" She exclaimed, making me smile.
An idea struck in my mind and my eyes widened. "Hey, if I win, I'll share half of them with you!" I said, jumping up and down like a seven year old. She gasped. "You don't have to do that!" "But I want to." I said as I stopped jumping, and pouted. She squished my cheeks, saying how adorable I was. "That's true friendship right there!" someone from the crowd commented and we both burst out laughing.
"Zip, I choose you!" I said, sending out Zip for my last battle. I defeated Arbok, Koffing and Meowth, then Jessie sent out a Lickitung. Before it could lick her face, I called her back. " Champ g--" my sentence got cut off by Ducky coming out of my pokeball. Ya, I had caught a Psyduck, she was just like Misty's Psyduck, coming out of her pokeball randomly. Whatever.
The good thing though, she always had a headache. Lickitung tried to lick her face, but I yelled. "Ducky, use confusion!" Ducky used confusion, sending team rocket flying. "Team rocket's blasting off again." They yelled. "I won. Woohoo!" I cheered. "She did it! Y/n is the new princess festival queen!" was announced.
"You take 5 dolls Misty, I'll take 4." I said, trying to convince her. "No, you take 5! You've never really had pokemon dolls! I have my sisters' old ones at least." She tried to reason. "I'm used to not having dolls. You take it, I insist." I said, smiling at her softly. Her eyes softened and she pouted. "F-Fine, if you insist." She said. She chose Clefairy, Jinx, Jigglypuff, Chancy and Polywhirl dolls while I took the four Kanto starter pokemon dolls. We both mailed it to our homes.
"Excuse me miss." A voice behind me said. I turned around only to be met with the blue eyes of Fiorello. "Yes?" I said, confused. "I found a mysterious blue egg one day, and I decided to give it to you because you seemed to be a kind and caring trainer." He said, giving me an egg, which was in an incubator. "O-Oh, uh... thanks?" I said, taking the incubator from his hands.
"I need to go now. Adios." He said, walking away while waving goodbye. We waved back and when he left, we looked at the egg. It was blue and had some frog like foot-prints. "I'm gonna keep this one." I said, and the others nodded. We then went to the docks, where we took a ferry to the Cinnabar islands, to earn Ash's 7th and my 10th badge.
Hey guys, hope you enjoyed the chapter.
Love,
