I knew he saw me, and the second his eyes locked onto mine I looked down. But after a second I looked up again and I saw his eyes staring at me again. He smiled and waved, did he remember me.
"Hey, star boy!" He laughed. Oh shit, so he did remember me.
"Haha...hey! Ground boy..?" I regretted everything I said. He looked confused for a second before he laughed.
"Oh, because I was staring at the ground when we first met!" He smiled. "I haven't even seen you since then, but I knew it was you! Your wearing like the exact same shirt."
"Oh yeah, my grandma knits these. You are also wearing the same hoodie!" I said the conversation was getting really awkward.
"Yeah, my closet is basically the same hoodie over and over." He laughed. "What school do you go to?"
"Oh uh, Ichabod Crane High, what about you?" I asked.
"I used to go to Eastside High, but I'm transferring to Ichabod after the winter break." He told me. His sentences were long and drawn out, mine were small and weak, he obviously enjoyed talking.
"Oh, I'll see you there!" I told him.
"You too! By the way, what's your name star boy?"
"Aaron, you?"
"Benji, also why are you staring at the ground?" I thought for a moment before answering.
"The stars are less pretty now," I told him.
"What's your favorite constellation?" He asked.
"Cassiopeia," I said without hesitation.
"So you do still like the stars, if you didn't you would've forgotten all the constellations." He told me.
"I thought you hated stars," I said.
"I did, but the stars are actually pretty okay." He smiled. "See you later star boy!" I waved goodbye and started walking back home. I stopped for a second and looked up at the stars, maybe I'll remember why I liked the stars so much.
