Please Open The Door.

The next day, Josh woke up and found his arms around Y/N's waist, her back was turned to him as they spooned on the couch. 

Josh's face went red as he jolted up and saw the bright sun through the window. Y/N let out some awful snores but even though she may hate her snoring problem, Josh finds it adorable.

Josh watched Y/N sleep for a few seconds before his phone started ringing. Y/N woke up to that sound and realized how close her backside was to Josh's front. 

Let's just say she wasn't exactly subtle on the fact that she freaked the hell out. Y/N pushed herself from Josh to create some distance but ended up falling onto the floor, hard.

"Ow." Y/N looks up at Josh's smiling face as he laughs.

"Wow, way to stay calm. A+ for effort!" Josh puts his thumb up towards Y/N with a wide smile.

"Shut. Up." Y/N got up while rubbing her back and stretched.

Before Josh could grab his phone and see who he missed a call from, Y/N yanked his phone from the table, looked down at his phone with a laugh, and ran off to the kitchen.

"Woah, a missed call from the famous Nessa Barret?" Y/N sarcastically says when Josh finally makes it to the kitchen.

"I have no idea why she called me Y/N." Josh says.

Y/N looks at him in amusement when his phone rang again with the same caller ID as before.

"Hmmmm you sure you have no idea? She's spam calling~" Y/N seductively wiggles her eyebrows at Josh.

"That's not funny." Josh gives her an unamused look and she prances around the kitchen with his phone in the air.

"Alexa play some music!" Y/N calls out to Alexa and she obeys.

"Playing Dua Lipa- Don't start now." Alexa speaks.

"Thanks Alexa, love this song." Y/N starts singing along as the music fills the kitchen.

Y/N dances around Josh as he stands there with his arms crossed. Y/N jumps onto the table when her favorite part comes on and does the TikTok dance that goes with it.

"Aren't you the guy who, tried to, hurt me with the word, goodbye, Though it took some time to, survive you, I met her on the other side." Y/N sang her heart out and Josh couldn't help but smile at the way her body swayed to the music.

"You're too cute." Josh says with a sarcastic tone over the music.

"And you love it." Y/N winks at Josh as he laughs. The song ended and Y/N decided to stop dancing and give Josh his phone back.

"Alright fine, I'm done. Alexa? stop." Y/N smiles as she hands Josh his phone back. Josh holds his phone but it started ringing. He tried to clicked the red button but Y/N quickly clicked the green button and silently laughed at Josh's misery.

"Hello? Babe~" Nessa said.

"I-I mean Josh." You got annoyed at this because you know some girls do this on purpose to make guys feel bad. You rolled your eyes and Josh's mark turned purple. Josh laughs at you as he says hi back to Nessa.

"I was wondering if we can talk?" Nessa says this and you unconsciously make a face that Josh quickly notices.

"Uh, Yeah, Let me just call you in a little bit." Josh hangs up and looks at you, who is clearly mad that he said yeah.

"Y/N I need to see her she-"

"You need to see her?"

"That's not what I meant." Josh says this and then continues.

"She hasn't found her soulmate yet so she probably feels all alone."

"I just don't understand why the hell you would date her if you knew she wasn't your soulmate. Didn't you realize dating her would complicate things?" you couldn't hide your feelings from Josh anyways so why even try. You decided to just say what you want to say.

"I didn't want to wait around for you anymore!" Josh paused realizing his words must have hurt Y/N.

"I- I just wanted to feel something-"

"Okay, stop talking. Go see her." Y/N walked away and hurried up the stairs to her room. She waited for him her whole life, someone who is meant to be yours forever, that's what she waited for. She got this instead.

While she was waiting, he was living it up. While she felt alone her whole life, Josh was happy. Now, he's worried about someone else's loneliness.

Y/N decided to call Ady and Avani to rant everything to them.

"Hey girl, what's up?" Ady answered.

"Are you guys alone? I don't want anyone to hear me."

"Yeah I'm alone." Avani says as you both hear Ady shuffle around.

Then, when she gets to a safe place she tells you to go ahead. You tell them the whole story and at first they were like 'Awe~' but then they turned to 'oh...'

"Yeah, It's just, Nessa is suppose to figure things out herself. That's the whole point of this soulmate thing. You're suppose to go on a rough journey before finally finding 'the one'. Some get lucky and fall in love with their childhood friend or their high school sweetheart but not everyone gets that lucky but we deal with it and move on with life!"

You paused for a moment while Ady told you to take your time.

"Maybe, Josh would be happier if I just left. Maybe, there was a glitch in the system and Nessa is meant to be with Josh. She's prettier, she's a really nice person, and she's not me. I'm average and she's like a damn model. Damn it, I really hate it when the pretty ones always win." You chuckled and sniffled before Avani started talking.

"Look, you're beautiful, okay? There wasn't any glitch. I saw the way you two looked at each other when Anthony introduced you guys. It was like you were the only people in the room. Anthony and I were blessed to be each other's soulmate and be really good friends. I love him so much, but our relationship isn't perfect, No one's is. You and Josh will figure things out and Nessa will find her soulmate."

"Yeah I agree. Kio and I aren't perfect either but I really like him. He's a good guy and I know Josh is a good guy too. He isn't perfect though. No one is. He's going to make mistakes but it's up to you to forgive him or not. Just, don't get your heart broken. We wouldn't want you turning into a robot."

Ady starts making stupid robot noises and you and Avani start laughing. You realized your mark has been blue for a while now. Josh didn't leave yet considering you can still hear him moving around downstairs. You decided to say bye to Avani and Ady. You wanted to call Josh up here to apologize. 

You said your goodbyes to the girls but before you can call Josh up, you hear him coming upstairs anyways. There was a knock on the door and a soft voice behind it.

"Y/N please open the door so we can talk. I can't leave with you mad at me like this. You'd probably get more mad if I left without talking to you anyways so..." Josh lightly chuckled at his comment.

"Please open the door."
