She was looking at herself in the mirror when he came in. Maggie hadn't heard him enter, an earbud dangled from her ear as she smoothed down her top and hummed to herself. She had done her hair into two braided pigtails the way she always did when she went to cheer practice. He watched her, leaning against the doorframe. Lazily, Campbell rapped his knuckles loudly against the door, smirking when she jolted to attention, ripping off the headset. She smiled and moved to kiss him but he was faster, yelping as he grabbed her wrists and pushed her face down over the bed, kicking her knees apart, "Why weren't you ready for me like I asked babe?"
"I was!" She protested, he tightened his grip, "I am, I'm sorry." His hand moved between her legs and he stroked her over her panties.
"Oh you really are." He noted then pushed the fabric aside. She gasped when he was suddenly inside,"C'mere." He pulled her up by her hair and worked his fingers slowly in and out of her. She whimpered and let him push her down to the floor. She turned around on her hands and knees and unbuttoned his jeans, pulling the zipper down obediently. He tilted his head back.
"Super hottie staring at you, three o'clock." Her friend giggled in her ear and Maggie looked up to see Campbell. He was leaning against his car, his head tilted slightly to the side. She blushed, "Oh my god do you know him?"
"We met at that party last night."
"Then go." Her friend pushed her forward with her Pom Pom clad hands, "Cheer him up!" Maggie rolled her eyes at the bad joke but nervously approached Campbell anyways. Her stomach in a thousand knots.
"So you're a cheerleader?" He raised an eyebrow at her and she looked down at her feet, embarrassed. Scrunching her arms around her mid-section self-consciously, "You look beautiful." He reached up and tucked her hair behind her ear, "I couldn't stop thinking about you Mags."
"Really?" Her eyes shot up hopefully. She was so cute, he thought, so unassuming.
"Of course." He chuckled and ruffled her hair as if she were a child, "Get in." He moved to get into the drivers seat. She hesitated for only a brief moment before complying.
"Where are we going?" Maggie asked.
"There's this field I know..." He glanced over at her as she shifted awkwardly in his front seat, "How about I buy you something sweet first?"
"Ice cream?" She smiled widely.
"Anything for my cheerleader."
One hand he used to pin both of hers behind her back and the other was wrapped around her neck, "Fuck, you're such a good girl for me." He grunted and thrust into her harder, feeling his climax come closer. She squirmed a little. The full length mirror was placed strategically and he used his grip on her neck to pull her back flush against his chest, "I want you to watch." He ordered and her eyes flickered open to the mirror. The girl she saw in it she didn't recognize. Bruises marred her body. Her bottom lip swollen in a permanent pout from constant nervous biting. That girl was a possession. She was owned. Maggie winced when he shoved himself in harder, her whole body trembling, but kept her gaze steady on the scene in the mirror. "Fuck." Campbell pushed her back down onto the bed, riding out his release. When he had recovered he slapped her ass, chuckling lightly, "What do we say?"
"Thank you." She murmured tiredly into the covers.
"Good. Now go clean yourself up Mags, Jesus." She turned a little awkwardly, sitting up on the side of the bed with her eyes downcast, feeling suddenly like she had to cover herself up. Campbell saw this and sighed. So touchy, he thought to himself. He leaned down and kissed her forehead, "C'mon baby let's take a shower."
She licked her ice cream and skipped in front of him happily. He watched her, amused. It was a pretty spot, little flowers budding in patches, surrounded on all sides by dense forest, "So do you take all the girls to abandoned clearings or am I just that special?" She asked, turning back to look at him with a raised eyebrow. He laughed. She liked how it sounded.
"You are special." He answered and got so close to her that she had to crane her neck up to meet his eyes, "Poor taste in ice cream flavours aside."
"You don't like it?"
"Not really a vanilla kind of guy." He brought his hand up and touched her cold lips with his thumb. She parted them a little, completely transfixed, "But maybe I can be converted." Campbell leaned down and pressed his lips to hers.
The doorbell rang as Campbell was pulling his shirt on. Maggie was just exiting the shower, wrapping a towel around herself, "Expecting someone?" He called out to her. She entered the bedroom and shook her head. Campbell shrugged, "Put some of that coverup I bought you on your neck, don't want people getting the wrong impression." He stated before heading downstairs. Campbell opened the door to see Harry Bingham and his close cronies standing there, two six packs and a couple of bottles of Jack in hand.
"Hey man. Thought we could have a guy's night, play some video games?" Harry explained, grinning, "Would have invited you to mine but it's getting kind of crowded." Campbell gestured dramatically for them to enter, "Cool, thanks. Clearly brought the suitable libations." Maggie padded down the stairs in an oversized shirt and shorts. Stopping when she saw the new occupants of the kitchen, "Hey Mags. Wanna beer?" Harry greeted.
"Uh sure, thanks." She smiled appreciatively as he tossed her one. The doorbell rang again.
"Late arrival?" Campbell asked. Harry shrugged, "Get that would ya babe? We're going to set up in the den." Maggie set her beer down and went to open the door, surprised to say the least to see Cassandra and Ali.
"Hi?" She furrowed her brow, confused. She had exchanged all of three words with Campbell's cousins in her entire life, "Campbell's just in the—"
"Actually we came to talk to you!" Cassandra chirped, "We're having a girls meeting in the church right now and since we didn't have your number we thought we'd come personally to check if you wanted to join."
"A girls meeting?"
"After all the pillaging and looting and everything we thought it would be a good idea." Ali replied, "Just to check in with everyone, without all the testosterone."
"Maggie!" Campbell called from the other room. She turned a little bit without responding. Cassandra and Ali glanced at each other.
"It wouldn't take long! An hour tops. We just wanted to check in, everyone's pretty on edge." Cassandra smiled encouragingly.
"Oh ok I—"
"Ah if it isn't my loving family." Campbell strolled up behind her and put his arm around her securely, "To what can I afford this pleasure?"
"Actually we just wanted to talk to Maggie, Campbell." Ali bristled.
"Is that so?" He smirked and looked down at his girlfriend, "What about?"
"All the girls are getting together." Maggie stated innocently, "I thought since you're with all your friends tonight I could..."
"My friends are your friends." Campbell kept up the thin veneer of joviality but there was a hardness in his eyes.
"I know but—"
"We're all jonesing for your amazing nachos. I just don't think tonight is a good night." He cut her off.
Cassandra spoke up, "C'mon Campbell, it's just girl time." He stared at his cousins coldly for a moment and then shrugged.
"Up to you Mags." He ruffled her hair a little too roughly as he turned and walked back into the house. She swallowed and looked up, clearly deflated.
"Maybe some other time." Maggie answered softly, "Sorry." She forced a small smile on her face and waved as she closed the door.
