The things you do,

You regret the things,

You don't do."

Alex's P.O.V

"So can you tell us anything about the way you were able to come here?", Noah whispers leaning over the table.

"I'm sorry guys but I could get into a lot of trouble. So it's better if no one knows.", I say simply continuing to eat whatever was on my plate.

We were all currently sitting in the mess hall having dinner and catching up on what we did all day.

It has been a week since I arrived at camp and I've fit in quite well. I couldn't have asked for a better Bunker than number 17. Even though it's only been a week we all get along better than ever.

"Alright, you can't tell us about that. But can you atleast tell us how you convinced the General that you could join the army?", George says from my right.

I glance at Nate, who was sitting at his own table along with Ben and a couple other of the prominent members of the army. When our eyes meet, I quickly turn and avert my gaze back to my plate.

"Same way I convinced all you guys.", I say smirking, but I'm suddenly very conscious of Nate's gaze which I can feel on me.

"Yeah, remind me never again to challenge you in training.", Oliver says removing the ice pack that was on his shoulder and placing it on the table.

"I warned you! And all you said was, 'Noah took it easy on you.'", I say making my voice deeper to imitate Oliver.

"Yeah I get it. I got thoroughly flattened.", Oliver says burying his head in his arms.

"So, what did y-", I start but I'm interrupted by a voice from behind me, a very familiar voice.

"Alex, may I speak with you in my Bunk?", I hear Nate ask from behind me.

"Yes of course General Walker.", I say and getting up.

He doesn't say a single word the entire way to his cabin, and I just silently follow him.

Once we're in his Bunker he goes to sit behind his desk and motions for me to sit on one of the chairs kept for visitors.

"So, how's everything been so far?", He asks when I finally sit down.

"It's been really good. Getting comfortable with everything sooner than I thought.", I say leaning back in my chair.

"Good, that's great. I saw your training session today.", He says smirking slightly.

"Yeah well what can I say, I did warn the guy.", I say smirking back.

"Of course you did.", He says letting out a light laugh and shaking his head.

"How come I hardly ever see you around though?", I ask curiously.

"Why Miss Harlow, if I knew you wanted to see me more I would have assigned you to my group.", He says with a confident smile on his face.
