Rafe Sadler one shots

My Angel

I sat with Cromwell while he went through paperwork and letters we had received in the last few days and tried to get everything organized as Cromwell was due to meet the king next week. 

"You can do Master Sadler, it's late" he says 

"Yes sir" I nodded getting my things together and heading to the door 

"Ohh, Master Sadler tell Gregory I need a word" he says 

"Yes sir" I nodded heading out into the house and up the creaking wooden stairs towards my room, I saw Gregory's door open and he was at in his chair by the fire ready his book his dogs laid on the rug asleep 

"Master Gregory?" I said making him look up from his book "Your father wishes to see you" I told him 

"Ohh thanks Rafe" he says putting his book down "you going to bed?" He asked 

"No, I'm off out tonight" I admit 

"Ahh I see," he smirked, winking at me before he went to see his father. So I hurried up to my bedroom and sorted my things before grabbing my jacket and heading down to the stables.

As soon as I get down there I went to my horse giving him a little pet and stroke even giving him an apple 

"Hey Sadler, where are you going?" Richard asks as he came in fixing up his horse too

"Ohh, just heading out" I told him trying not to say anymore

"Yeah me too," he smirked "hey come on let's get going I'll buy you a drink when we get there" he says mounting his horse so I did too and followed him slowly out the stables and the courtyard and out onto the dark streets the fire glow from windows casgaing onto the road with little other light till we reached the crossroads where he began to go left 

"Ohh uhh I umm I have somewhere I need to go first" I lied 

"Yeah where?" He asks 

"Just uhh, a little visit that's all" I explain

"Oooh? Are you not heading to miss Lina's? Have you got some cute little thing who's waiting for you?" He asked 

"Maybe" I blushed 

"Alright, go on, I'll see you later" he says heading off his way so I headed off mine.

I wandered through the dark forest, the road in the forest made by me going back and forth. Till I began to see the trail of smoke from the chimney and the firelight flicking between the trees, until I arrived at the little house,  And tied up my horse.

As soon as I did I the door opened 

"Good evening Master Sadler" her sweet voice smiled I instantly got off my horse and scooped her up in my arms like a princess making her giggle like crazy as she wrapped her arms around my neck to stop me from dropping her as easily 

"Hello Angel" I smiled "I missed you" 

"I missed you too" she giggled as I put her down but she kept her arms around my neck 

"How is my little witch of the woods?" I asked her 

"Fine" she smiled "how are you?" 

"Perfect now I'm back with you angel" I smiled kissing her sweet lips "now how's my little princess doing?" I asked as I pulled away and stroked her sweet stomach 

"Or prince" she laughed "we don't know yet"

"I don't care either way so long as they don't hurt my beautiful angel to bad"

"They don't" she smiled "come on I made you some soup" 

"Okay, how are you doing on your dress?" I asked as we went inside

"Almost finished" she smiled "have you asked master Cromwell for some time off?" She asks 

"Not yet" I admit "I was going to today but...he was busy," I said and she looked upset "it's alright angel, I'll ask him soon okay, besides there no way he'll say no to me having time off to go marry my sweet angel before our little baby comes"
