My knight in shinning armor

Never felt like a princess.

I told myself fairy tales didn't exist.

Never really wanted someone.

I told myself I didn't need a man.

Even though these are true...

I want these things.

I want my own fairy tale.

I want you to be my man.

You say you cannot read my mind,

but you do well to see right through my hard shell.

Not too far under that shell I think about how you make me feel.

All my life I've been forced to be realistic and be able to protect myself against all things.

I want you to protect me and be my knight in shinning armor.

You make me feel fragile and feminine.

My feelings are deeper than I let on for them to be.

You say it would not scare you away;

I am afraid it will scare me off.

And make my fear of losing you come true.

But if I know anything for sure,

I know that I absolutely love you too much to ever leave.

I want you and everything that comes along with you.

You are my knight in shinning armor.

I want to be your dream girl come true.

Unexpectedly we came together; and

We will last through all things.
