The boy walked back to us and planted himself in front of me.

Then, there was a huge gust of wind that made the windows behind us burst violently. I saw Yiren throwing herself under a table but my body didn't move. However, the only thing I felt was a weight holding me as I fell on the ground.

It was the boy. He had jumped over me and was hugging me tight so the pieces of glass wouldn't hurt me.

" Are you okay ? " he asked.

" I-I'm scared... " I muttered.

He started brushing my hair with his right hand, still holding my waist with the left one. He brought his face to my ear and said softly :

" I know somewhere safe on campus. Can you trust me now that I basically took a bullet for you ? "

I saw him smile in the dark, I smiled back and helped Yiren get up.

It was so obscure without the lights that we could barely see what was in front of us. Suddenly, a clash of thunder and a lightning striked, I screamed.

" We're almost there " the boy said as he took my hand, I shivered " we just need to cross the yard and we'll be safe. "

He counted down to three and we started running towards a small gate on the other side of the court.
