Chapter 75

No Rae is walking through the corridor when she cross path with sung pyo. He stand on her way and his expression soften when he see her

SP: Kim no Rae! Hi.

NR: hello oppa.

SP: are you going to one of your classes?

Nr: no I have some free time before that, I'm heading to the rest area now.

SP:alone?

NR: I'm going ahead but my friend is coming after meeting one professor.

SP: the tall one? you two are an item.

NR: Her name is Baek Seol A.

SP: oh yes sorry I forgot. I'm happy to see you opened up to someone.

She smile to him with all the mysteries she is capable of.

NR: sorry but I have to go now. See you around!

No Rae bow to him and follow her way but he reach her hand and make her turn around.

SP: hum look... I really want to talk to you...would you mind coming with me? To the beach maybe? I know you like the ocean...

NR: sure.

SP: Thank you, I have a lot to say...

 NR: then let's go on a walk somewhere, but not to the beach since it's so far away.

SP: thank you Kim No Rae! Do you have time this week-end maybe? Or is it too soon?

NR: What about Saturday?

SP: perfect!

NR: ok. I'll contact you. Bye then...

Seol A oversaw part of the scene. She saw Sung pyo taking No Rae's hand and almost interrupted them, but restrained herself, not knowing how No Rae would mind her meddling. Then she saw his face glowing more and more as if no Rae accepted some of his proposal. She instinctively hided from him when he came her way. (What an annoying guy... what did they talk about?)

On Saturday, Seol can't help but stalk at No Rae, she smells something fishy about her plan. She look for her through the windows and witness sung pyo at the entrance. (Don't tell me...)

Now it's no Rae's turn to come out. She reaches him and he put a kiss on her cheek then drive her on, taking her hand. No Rae doesn't seems to resist, which upset Seol who come back inside in the worst mood ever. (Did they really go back together? But she would have told me wouldn't she? Or is she too shy about it? Fuck I can't stand that situation why do I have to suffer so much?)

They walk for some time and stop to sit on a bench.

SP: No Rae I love you...

NR: ...(straight to the point uh?)

SP: I never stopped loving you. I don't know what happened for me to break up with you, I never forgave myself. I've been thinking about you day and night since then, I'm so sorry...

NR: ...

SP: I know I'll never find anyone as fit to be with me as you are, I beg of you to forgive me and to give me another chance. I'll wait as much as you want but please consider being with me again, I love you so much that you're the only one I see...

NR: ...

He is now on his knee, in front of her, her hands in his warm palms

SP: I'll treasure you more than ever, I swear I'll never betray you again. I even wish to marry you... I mean one day...sorry... I'm getting ahead of myself cause I'm too nervous... but that's how much I cherish you.

No Rae blushed when she heard about marriage. She knew that he was gonna confess but this is way more emotional that she imagined. Sung pyo stays completely still, silently waiting for an answer.

NR: oppa...

SP: yes?

NR: I like you.

SP: yes??

He looks up to her with stars of hopes in the eyes. He know she is not unmoved by his comeback and he has great expectations about getting back with her.

-but I don't think I love you anymore.

That gives him a shock. He thought he was prepared for this answer but now he realize he was not.

SP: you don't?

NR: sorry oppa, that's how it is...

SP: can you still take some time to decide? You might change your mind knowing how I feel.

He may be disappointed and very sad but he came to tell her his feelings with the resolve of never giving up again.

NR: my feelings won't change. I'm sorry oppa.

SP: please don't be. I'm the one who wasn't good enough to keep you. Will you still let me be by your side? I beg of you no Rae I don't think I can keep up without you in my life for now...

He knows he is being selfish and taking advantage of her kind side but he really want to live his entire life with her, he love her so much he could do anything for her.

NR: well we are in the same unnie and I don't plan on avoiding you either so I guess we will se each other quite often.

She gently smile at him. He look at her with tears flowing on his cheeks, she hardly ever saw him cry. She take her hand out of his grip and shove some of his tears away.

SP: I love you.

NR: I know, thank you oppa.

He take her hand and rub his face inside, then kiss it. She stare at him, feeling guilty seeing his reaction. She just broke his heart and doesn't feel a bit glad about it. She's rather hurt to see their relationship is still causing them struggle and pain after all this time.

SP: Please just let me stay by your side as a friend and think about it. About me... about us.

She stay silent for some time and then replies with a sight

NR: ok.

Coming back home, No Rae think about their conversation. She feels flattered and sad at the same time. She remember all the good memories she has of their time together and also her depressive year following their break up. She look into the sky and blow some steam from her mouth. She close her eyes and smile, picturing herself the face she crave to see everyday.
